How was the weekend? What did you do? Any randoms to share?

Weekend was fun! I got back on Thursday night and I was alllll sorts of jet lagged on Friday. I was still off (thank goodness) so I laid low. P and I sat out by a the fire Friday night.

Saturday I went to yoga, then to a new book club, which was fun. I will definitely go back. I went for a walk with a friend and grabbed dinner with her after.

Sunday I went for a run then we met a friend for apple picking and hard cider tasting. It was funny, P and my friend kept picking apples and I kept saying "I think we have enough" and they kept picking more, and more. Fast forward to paying for them and P was gobsmacked they were $27. LOL. I told him that I tried to warn him! Needless to say I came home and made an apple crisp.

My random: London was SO much fun! I really loved it and we had SUCH a great time. I would totally go back.

That's all so great @byllygirl979! I have to admit I'm laughing about the apple picking a bit. That's what happens!


My weekend was good. Friday I went to a "beginning' hip hop class that's really going to be more of a "whatever she thinks we can handle" class. We have pretty much all danced together, including the teacher, so she knows us.

Saturday I ended up meeting up with friends who had sort of absorbed a new girl into the group for the day/evening. By the end of the night I'd had to get the two women I was hanging out with home, at separate times, because they'd both drank too much. One I walked to her apartment then rejoined the group. The new girl, at the end of the night, was really drunk and had lost her phone, so I called a cab for her and waited with her until I knew she was safely on her way home. Far too much babysitting. Yesterday I mostly laid low.

I had such an amazing (but fast) weekend! My friends got married so I was in full on wedding mode from Thursday night on. The wedding was sooooo emotional and I’m incredibly happy I was a part of it!

Highlights - seeing them both so in love, spending time with the bride’s son who was telling me how beautiful his mom is and how her now husband sometimes is so blown away by how beautiful she is that he can’t speak, having a heart to heart with another bridesmaid who told me that bf seemed wonderful but to remember he is the lucky one because she thinks I’m an amazing person, dancing and singing all night and hanging out with bf.

Lowlights - DD “met” bf but wouldn’t talk to him and was being salty but not a total dick (she did make eye contact with him so I’m calling it a baby step), DS has been sick since Thursday and we’re currently waiting to hear if it’s chicken pox or hand/foot/mouth, and it was freaking cold out during the wedding (low 40s with just a light dress on).

All in all it was a wonderful weekend! I have today off and was going to have a me day but DS is probably contagious so I kept him home and we’re at urgent care.

doriswe, I loved the picture you posted of you two! And I'm sorry DD was being salty. I'm sure she will come around a bit.

I kinda like him 😉 DS was just telling me he and DD talked about bf and she wanted to know if they had met, if he was nice and what he thought about him. DS told her they had met, he’s nice “but not as energetic as mom is” lol. She said “I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.” That’s not a no lol! I’m hoping we can talk this out soon.
