I feel lighter today. A couple weeks ago, I had my second mammogram ever and got called back due to a suspicious area. I know this is common, and I know it's usually fine, but you can't help but start freaking out a little bit. It was kind of a stressful experience despite repeatedly telling myself it would probably be fine. I had my follow-up today, and luckily, everything is A-OK. Yippeee!
That's great! I've only had 2 mammograms so far, and both times they did an ultrasound at the same appointment because I have a spot which I'm certain is something like scar tissue but which they wanted to double-check anyway (I fell and landed right on that spot when I was pretty young, like 13-14-ish and there been a little lump there ever since). It's a great feeling to get the all-clear!
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
