In two weeks, I'll be in Boston for the weekend. I'm going for an event that will have me outside, on my feet, Friday through Sunday. I'll be able to walk to coffee or sit down in a vendor tent periodically. It's supposed to be 60 degrees and sunny. I'll probably wear jeans / fleece or leggings / long sweater and would prefer to bring running shoes and one other pair.
Shoe recommendations? I'll spend $150 if I have to.
Bonus points if you link some cute sweaters that I NEED.
And I really like them. They're pretty comfortable for standing for long periods.
I don't have these particular boots but I have a pair of black booties that are the same brand. I bought them last winter to walk around NYC and they are SO.COMFORTABLE. and I really love a heel. Obviously, they aren't as cute as the going out boots I prefer to wear with a higher heel, but for comfort and something that's not terribly ugly, I love them.
I’ve been living in my All Birds lately. I have the mesh navy and they’re pretty versatile. Not sure if those are too casual or if you want something dressier since you’re already taking running shoes, though.

I wear Dansko clogs in the fall. I'm a teacher and they are very comfortable when I'm on my feet all day. I also like Doc Martens for casual, comfortable shoes. I don't have them, but I like Blundstone boots (my friend, also a teacher, wears them and loves them).
Vionic brand. I have some booties with a bit of a heel that I got at Dillards that are really comfortable. I even wore them to Epcot one day. We weren't spending the whole day there, but it is still a lot of walking. I have several pairs of sandals that I wear a lot and just got some flats at DSW that seem really comfortable so far.
I got Born ankle boots last year that I wore all over Israel and Paris. I may have added inserts for extra support, but I am not sure. At any rate, they were cute and comfy, and worked with jeans, leggings and my slim slacks.
I've been wanting to try these, but I'm always hesitant to try new shoes purchased online because I have man-feet (or rather, my forefoot is quite wide). Do you think these would work for a wider foot?

I have a wider foot and ended up going 1/2 size larger. Normally I wear a 10 but I order in 10.5 and so happy. I have the flats in the dove grey and love them. If you use my link you get $20 off. I like that they can be washed and retain their shape/size.
mrs.jacinthe, agree with megstoo. As long as you don't get the Point, I think you'll be fine. They stretch/give really well and go back to their original shape when washed. Highly recommend.

I got the points (as a gift) in my regular size (7.5) and kept them, and do wear them, but I would have been happier a half size up in an 8.
