What’s on the agenda this weekend? Tonight we were going to grill, but dh worked late so we did Costco pizza. Tomorrow we have all kinds of yard work, dd1 has dance and a bday party (THANK YOU parents who host 4 hour drop off parties, you are amazing!!) and I need to grocery shop. It’s also parents night out at a church near us so dh and I are going to do something. No idea what. Sunday we will go to church and I have to work in the afternoon. Ds is starting to sleep more at night which is amazing. I’m really hoping this is a turning point, I’m kind of dead.
Tonight is movie night (we're watching Lego Batman, lol).
Tomorrow some random errands. I need to go for bloodwork, so hoping to squeeze that in somewhere.
Sunday morning DH leaves for work travel until Thursday night, so some solo parenting on the way for much of next week for me. I'm trying to think of something fun for DS and I to do on Sunday...
Tonight was performance night at my school. Tomorrow DH is going to the football game at his alma mater and I plan on attempting to paint the bathroom pending cooperative-level of children. Sunday we're going to buy winter clothes for the kiddos.
My nephew (high school aged) flew into town last night and the kids were off school today so DH took the day off and we went to the beach, the kids played hoops, we had lunch at a local farmstand. Then movie at home to relax this afternoon. For dinner we went to a hotel on the water that has outdoor fire pits where you can order dinner watching the sunset...complete with bagpiper. DH is taking nephew for a college tour and then football game tomorrow so I’m with the kids. Gymnastics class for ds2 and then I’m taking them to our town’s pumpkin roll and harvest festival. DS1 has a late afternoon play date at a Halloween hay tunnel. I’m sure I’ll get take out and put the kids to bed early and binge watch TV. Sunday - no plans but very excited for Monday as my kids have been off all week for fall break!
Friday night I went to the football game at work. It eventually got canceled due to lightning and thunder.
Saturday has been busy. I went to my kickboxing class this morning then Dh and I went to a homecoming tailgate party at our college alma mater. Now we are just hanging out at my parents.
Sunday I need to go to another kickboxing class so I can stay on track for my three times a week goal. Then I have 70 essays to grade. Grades are due Monday night.
Let's see. Friday DD1 went to a birthday party right after school. I am doing a complete clean-out of our walk-in pantry b/c we somehow got PANTRY MOTHS. They can come in with anything, apparently, and are hard to get rid of. So, I spent most of the night wiping things down and re-organizing. As of now (Saturday night) my entire kitchen is still a disaster.
Today DH took the big kids to all of their soccer games. I took DD3 to urgent care! She has been complaining off and on for days about her tummy hurting, and then it got really bad this morning. She ended up throwing up before her appointment, but after that, she felt great and was totally fine. I took her anyway b/c I was worried about appendicitis or constipation. Everything else looks good, so we're thinking it might be a little constipation. She's not contagious...it's not a stomach bug. So, after her appointment, we were still able to go to this really nice little fall fest. Cookie decorating, pumpkin bowling, bounce house, inflatable slides, fall crafts, bonfire, food trucks/beer truck. It was really cute (and FREE, except for food/beer) and we had a great time despite the cold weather (winter coats, hats and mittens!). We also went out to dinner. DH gets super busy soon with work, so it was nice to have a fun family night.
Tomorrow (Sunday) the kids have faith formation class and we'll probably go to church...after that, no plans. Just doing the Miralax for DD3, and trying to finish the pantry project. I'm also reading "Escape to Witch Mountain" with the big kids, so we'll try to do a chunk of the book before the busy week begins.
