We are going for thanksgiving. We just did our first trip in May, but we are currently living in Florida and want to try to go as often as we can. I’m a little afraid of the crowds that weekend. My kids are 2 and 4 and actually aren’t really into the rides, they just like to see all the stuff and meet as many characters as they can

Still planning on December 2021 for the 50th anniversary. Trying to avoid going December 2019, with a 6.5 month old (and 5.5 and 3.5 year old), because of the GE opening, because by then it will already have been 2 years from our last trip. It’s haaaard bc I really want to go (not for GE, just in general). My BFF is trying to convince me to rent a 3-4 BR @ Bonnet Creek so our families can go together, and it would def be cheaper than the 2BR I want at BLT for 2021.

Disneyland: -Nov 15 for Moonlight Magic at DCA -Dec 14-16 Snagged a 2 bedroom villa at the Grand -August 31-Sept 4, 2019 I've got 2 studios booked at the Grand so we can check out Galaxy's Edge
We are going in mid-Sept of next year for a week. It's our second trip with our kids (will be 5 & 2) and I booked a 1BR @ BLT. We stayed at the Contemporary earlier this year and loved it but I'm excited for the extra space and washer/dryer. Bummed about no fireworks view from our room though.

December 1-8, and we're renting DVC at Poly. We're so excited! We planned two resort days this trip so the kids could enjoy the pool (hopefully it's warm enough!) and so we could all take some time to relax on our vacation.
Mid November and then again early Dec. It's our fav time of year and we live a few hours away. We stay at Bonnet Creek. We finally got FP for FOP after many trips of not riding it. Can't wait!
Last week of January/early February. It's a family trip with my ILs and my son is excited to have everyone there with us.
Trips when you bring the grandparents are fabulous!
I just had to chuckle a little bit, because I think my experience with bringing my parents on the trip we went on to WDW when my kids were 5.5 and 7 was not typical. It seemed like extra work with them there, and they really didn't do anything extra for the kids to make it special. But my parents don't really like to travel and don't really like WDW (the only time I went as a kid was when I was 14 and I feel like they reluctantly took us to WDW because it was so close to where we were staying while visiting my grandparents at their winter condo).

Ha. After I hit post I was wondering if my experience was atypical. My in-laws are amazing. And young. They had DH in their teens. So they still have a ton of energy and aren't your typical grandparents. My mil is only 15 years older than me. We don't see them as often as we'd like so spending fun time together has been great. We've gone twice with them and my mom. My mom is a different story. But she and my mil get along fabulously so all grandparents go with us.

MIL always comes with us. While she's not particularly young, she's healthy and energetic. She usually gets tired right when DS is ready to be done for the night, too. They head back to the room and the parents get to close down the park!

I definitely think it's my parents. They are 71; they are healthy, but not very energetic. A friend's mom is about my parents' age, and just took two 18-20 year old granddaughters on a 2-week whirlwind trip in Europe, so I definitely don't think it's an age thing. My parents did take the kids back to the rooms (we had separate, but adjoining rooms) one night so DH and I could watch Illuminations at Epcot, so that was nice.
I do always think it's fun to see other multi-generational families at the parks having fun, where you can see the older generation remembering/reliving being a kid again. That always makes me happy to see.
H and I just booked a long weekend in March! (last weekend in March). We'll be there Thursday to Sunday. No kids. And we're not telling the kids where we are going either, lololol. We're staying at Boardwalk. Or Beach Club. I honestly cant remember. I think BW.
Late January. A little over a month til our FP date. I'm hoping they announce a DVC Moonlight magic for our dates. We'd missed them by a few days the past few years and this year we'll be there teh weekend it's been held, so I'm crossing my fingers.
I'm waiting to reserve Thanksgiving 2018 for my family as well. Good chance we'll throw in a summer trip too, but haven't determined that for sure yet.

My kids don't know either! Just that Grammy will be watching them for 7 sleeps and we're going to California.
We're heading back to WDW in January for a week, since the kids have 3 days off from school.

Co-signed. Our kids also acted out more. I’m excited for a trip without extra opinions and nap schedules. Less than 6 months away!

First trip as an adult and first trip with my kids (and niece, nephew and MIL) will be in January! Just changed our whole resort booking which was stressful, but feeling good about the decision.
