Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! My knees hurt at the top after my race. I'm more confused than anything because this is a totally new type of soreness, but it's fading.

What are you training for? Date? Long term I’m training for the Pittsburgh half or full, we’ll see as we get closer how my knee holds up. In the meantime I’ll be doing a few local 5ks.
Training schedule for the week? M: boot camp, T: run, W: boot, R: run, F: rest or boot, S: run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I was trying to be ready for a really fun 10 mile race on November 4, but right now my longest run has been 5.5, so I think it would be a bad idea to increase my mileage to 10 in just under 3 weeks. I could get to 8, but 10 might push it and exacerbate an old injury. ☹️
I just signed up for a half in March so that's the only thing officially on the calendar. Hoping to find a 10 miler or a 15k sometime in late fall/early winter though. Right now I'm just focused on trying to rebuild!
Planning on 5/5/3/3/2/7 as far as runs but not sure on the timing. Depends on how the nights go and they may not all happen this week. Also yoga x2-3 if possible.
No major issues, but foreseeing some stress on my part regarding schedule plus trying to fit my runs in especially as the days get shorter. I'm trying to get better about just rolling with it and if I have a week with little running that's unfortunately just part of the game for me right now.
I'm still working on getting my distance back up but the speed is coming back faster than I expected! I've managed at least a couple sub-7 miles.
Training for: 10k 11/6 (5? that first weekend in Nov whatever the date is)
Uhhhhhhhhh..... M: nope T: run? W: swim? Th: can you tell I don't actually have a plan here? F: ?? Sa: ride around on ATVs and then drink and be messy Su: recover
complaints: I feel like my race/ride/whatever season ended so quickly. I'm not ready for it to be over! I'm so tempted to sign up for a winter race of some sort but I PROMISED myself that I'd take some downtime this fall/winter and actually put a real effort into fixing my core issues. But...I don't WANNA. Sitting still and flexing my TVA's is not my idea of a good time. And I just spent a solid hour reading race reports of a local ultrarunner, so that didn't help that itch AT ALL. like..hey the Phunt 25k would be fun! 15 miles is totally doable.
AW's: nope. Oh...well, I guess since I didn't post in last week's tuesday I'll share that I did the metric at sea gull at the same pace I used to struggle to hold for a sprint. so that was pretty cool. Of course I was drafting off MH for most of that, but I was able to hold the pace for the sections I did pull.
What are you training for? Date? Richmond half 11/10 I guess, although I'm starting to think I'll have to walk it. 5k 12/2, and I guess since Richmond is going to be a non-race I can start thinking about the national women's Half in May
Training schedule for the week? Monday - 4 mile walk Tuesday - yoga Wednesday - pt and swim Thursday - cycle and yoga Friday - pt and swim again I think Saturday - long walk Sunday - rest day or yoga
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I mentioned this in the weekend workouts thread, but I tried to run on Saturday and my hip is basically no better than it was 3 weeks ago when I started pt. I'm very frustrated.

Training schedule for the week? M- Rest T- 8 miles 5x800 W- Rest/Yoga T- 6 miles F- 16 miles S- Relay TBD 9-13 miles S- Rest or 3 miles
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I'm feeling a little lost regarding training at the moment. It's taper and sorry Pfitz but I'm not running all those miles, you're drunk. I don't do the best when I make things up on my own. Also my H came home with a giant bag of gummy worms yesterday, thinking it would be a treat for me. I have ZERO self control when it comes to gummy candy and don't need to eat 2.5lbs.
Any AW's or brags? I received a giant 3rd place AG medal in the mail last week from my half. Apparently if you finish in 4th and the #1 person in your AG group wins the entire race you get a nice bump up
We are in the heart of Fall racing now! Who has a race this weekend? Who crushed a race this past weekend? I did two races at the CX race this weekend and had a great effort in the Elite Women. There is another series race on Sunday
What are you training for? Date? Cyclocross, races every weekend. National Championships in Dec.
Training schedule for the week? Sat.-CX Clinic Sunday-Race w/two races Monday-Off/Massage Tuesday: 75 minute ride w/intervals Wed.: CX Practice (if not raining. If raining, intervals on the trainer) Thursday: Recovery ride Friday: Off Sat.: Pre race ride w/openers Sunday: Race
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I am so sore from Saturday's clinic! The massage yesterday helped some. At least I can walk today.
What are you training for? Date? Richmond Half Marathon 11/10, Kiawah 12/8, Boston Marathon 4/15
Training schedule for the week? Mon - 50 min run, Tues - 2000yds + strength, Wed - 40 min run + hills, Thur - 50 min run, Fri - 2hr run, Sat - Rest, Sun - 55 min run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! NRR, but the kids have been fighting nonstop. DD is a complete terror when she comes home from school. I want to run away.
Any AW's or brags? We had a big party this weekend. It's our annual tradition. We invite the whole neighborhood. H brews a few homebrews. The food was good, the beer was flowing, and the bounce house was hopping.
What are you training for? Date? - Philly half 11/17, Kiawah Half 12/8, IMTX 4/27
Training schedule for the week? - Mon: coached run session, Tue: Group ride, Wed: 30 min run w/hill repeats, Thurs: 1500 swim and group ride, Fri: 30 minute hilly run, Sat: 1:30 ride/10 min brick, Sun: Rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! - Work has been stupid crazy lately. I feel like I'm permanently 8 steps behind and can't get caught up.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I felt like SHIT during my track workout this morning. I did 3 1-mile repeats and felt like I was going to die. I feel like I might be getting sick... H was sick last week and I stayed home with a sick kid yesterday.
Any AW's or brags? I did an awesome tempo run on Sunday... even at elevation and with a nasty headwind
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I'm feeling a little lost regarding training at the moment. It's taper and sorry Pfitz but I'm not running all those miles, you're drunk. I don't do the best when I make things up on my own.
Pfitz is such a jerk when it comes to taper. Don't tease me with this three week nonsense, be more honest and call it two, lol.
I can send you what I've done for taper for the past couple of races if you think that would help!
What are you training for? Date? Duke City Marathon, SUNDAY!
Training schedule for the week? M - rest T - 3.5 miles W - rest T - 3 miles? F - rest S - 2 mile shakeout S - 26.2
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Some of you may have seen my post on MMM but I got a very unexpected BFP two days after my last long run, which has made my whole life a mess, not to mention my plan for taper. Between the weather and 1st tri exhaustion/nausea I have not been able to do my planned runs. But my time goals for this race have obviously flown out the window so now the goal is to finish strong. Anyone else run a marathon at 8 weeks pregnant??

Any AW's or brags? Nope
I have! Once at 8 weeks and then the next time at 5ish weeks. I apparently only do marathons pregnant, lol. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Congratulations!!
What are you training for? Date? 8 hour trail run event 11/17, would love to get a marathon in.
Training schedule for the week? Active recovery this week- some hikes, spin class, and short runs, with a long-ish run over the weekend
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! TMI but I'm venting and if anyone has advice- 2nd toe (next to big toe) on one foot was a black toenail for a few months last year after a race, and the nail is normal color now but still looks "lifted" (it never fell off)it's a bit thicker than my others, but doesn't hurt UNTIL I run more than 10 miles or so, especially on hills. The toe itself got painful during my hilly race Saturday and all week it's been slightly red and tender. It's getting better each day so I'm not worried about infection. I need this to stop happening on runs. Other black nails I've had have grown in fairly normal so this is a bummer. I've read everything from filing the nail down to make it a thinner layer (ew) to having a Dr. laser the nail. Gross. It's not my shoes because it's happened in 3 different brands. It hurts to walk in my normal shoes today but not as bad as yesterday.
Any AW's or brags? I got an instant PR on Saturday (25K distance), and I also won my age group! There were only 2 of us in my age group (super small field) but I'll take it :-)

Training schedule for the week? M: rest T: run 3 miles W: run 4 miles, swim? Th:run 3 miles F: swim S: 60 min trainer ride S: 8 mile run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I DNFed for the first time ever this past weekend. After the 70.3 I was training for was canceled, another tri about an hour away was offering free registration to the first 50 people who were also registered for the 70.3 (but I don't think anyone checked that part). It was a 1000 m swim, 21 mile bike ride, and 7K run. I felt great about it until I got out of the car Saturday morning and realized it was super-windy. The lake had whitecaps on it. About 10 minutes before the race, they announced they were canceling the swim and doing a time trial bike start. The bike course started straight uphill. As I was waiting my turn to start (about 30 minutes), I just stared at that hill and thought "I don't want to do this." I got on my bike and got up the hill but my attitude didn't improve. The course was hilly and trafficky and people were riding like assholes. It was really windy. As I got to the end of the first loop (2 loop course), I thought I really don't want to ride that again. So I went back to transition and didn't. I am kind of disappointed in myself for quitting, but I don't know that I would have felt any better if I had stuck it out and finished. So, I ended my season doing zero triathlons and feeling very ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about what's next.
Any AW's or brags? I went for a short run at lunch today, and it just felt good and easy and better than running has in a long time.
Richmond 11/10 (I should probably remember the actual date of the race, I had to check with the other's racing to actually figure out the date)
Training schedule for the week?
M - 6m
T - gym
W - 10m
Th - 8m w/ speed
F -
Sat - a quick shake out if possible
Sun - 18m
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away!
My grandmother has been sick, so I am squeezing in a trip to see her Th-Sat and then driving with my mom to Mr. GT's brother's wedding. I am bringing DS and he is impossible when we travel, so I am not looking forward to the trip.
Any AW's or brags?
I ran with the Nike Vapor Fly 4%s last week and it was amazing. I am drinking all the Nike koolaid.
