Did anyone know this was being made into a movie? I read the book several years ago and loved it. Not sure how I feel about the guy from the office as the dad as I only know him as funny.

I haven't heard of the book or the movie, but I googled it and found the trailer:

And yeah I kept waiting for Steve Carell to make a joke which is a little awkward given the movie content.

I read both books when they came out (the son, Nic, wrote his own book about everything). I think the movie looks great. I love Steve Carrell in serious roles.

I haven't read the book but I'm really looking forward to the movie. I love Timothee Chalamet and Steve Carrell is great in serious roles. I've heard they had really good chemistry during filming.
