I had insomnia and exhaustion until almost exactly 14w. I was on progesterone from my FET until 10w and the dr said it could take 4 weeks to get through my system which ended up being right on. Not sure if that's the case for you but hoping you're back to normal soon!
Thanks! I cannot wait to be done with progesterone and estrodial patches. My ass and stomach are a hot mess of bruises, scabs, and red irritation marks.
I'm SOOOO over PIO and the patches! Bruises and adhesive all over the dang place.
First ultrasound was amazing!! Baby is measuring perfectly at 7w1d and the heartbeat was crazy strong at 145 bpm. The Dr. gave an audible "Wow!" when she saw the heartbeat which was fun.
No idea if I'll go back to the RE again here (I've been working as an out of town patient at my original clinic) or get transferred to my OB.

1. How far along are you this week? 38 weeks going on 39.. omg
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? well, i gained 3 pounds in the last week and a half which is just ridiculous. i'm going to guess water retention? i hate it. i just feel gross at this point. everything on my body is gross lol. i've been having anxiety about everything being okay with this baby.. not sure why. i don't remember having this anxiety with my daughter. a big reason why i dont want to go past my due date.
3. Questions for the group? how am i going to handle a crazy 3 year old a newborn??? 4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? key lime!

katespade, so this baby hiccups ALL THE TIME. Like several times a day. The way I describe it is like feeling a really strong heartbeat in one spot with movement.. does that make sense? ha. scm1011,second trimester for me.. so about 12-13 weeks woowoo, hope your ultrasound went well! mrs.Flang, if it makes you feel any better i really don't care much what to bring this baby in.. i haven't really picked out an outfit. I'm just going to throw in a few newborn and 0-3 month things.. mostly cause the weather here is nuts and it can go from 90 to 50 in a day.
cheeseandcrackers - Yes! That's very similar to how I would describe it. It's almost like the beat I can feel when I check my pulse, but it's much slower than my pulse and it's coming from right around where I feel her moving around the most.

If you figure it out...let me know! DH and I are very nervous. When my first was a newborn, I distinctly remember thinking that there was no way I could get through this if I also had a toddler...
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My belly is starting to feel heavy all the time. Which is obvious but still snuck up on me. I may have to hunt down my belly support band for more active stuff and for running.
3. Questions for the group? We are so stuck on names this time, especially for a boy. A girl we eventually agreed on and didn't use for DS, so we would still use that for this baby. Any resources or places for inspiration beyond the typical websites and lists? I want something that's easy to spell & pronounce, not too trendy, preferably a nice meaning, and has to sound ok with our one syllable last name. H is stuck on having a boy name that he doesn't know anybody named. I think because he has a very common 1980s name and disliked always having the same name as multiple classmates. A few names I like that he really dislikes: Levi Simon Eli Wesley
Thoughts??
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? All the pie. FOREVER! 😊

So happy to read this update!! 😊 First tri can be such a roller coaster (well, pregnancy in general can be!) but I'm thrilled you got good strong feedback today.
melmaria - I have a really short torso, and even then it took a while to go from looking bloated to looking pregnant. I was probably 16-17 weeks when I finally started feeling like I was kind of showing, and even then it practically disappeared under baggy shirts until probably 22 weeks or so.
Susie -- that's rough. I'm sorry you're feeling all the sick/nausea/stress of first, and it's the worst when you have to do all your normal life stuff and try to pretend you are fine. I don't have any super advice, but I think we can all sympathize.
scm1011-- sorry to say I think 13-14 weeks was when I finally had a little more energy. Fake it til you make it was my motto all summer. Hope your test & results can be done ASAP!

That's been the plan of action so far This was a lot easier the first go around when I didn't have an energetic toddler to run after! As for names, has your DH proposed any? When my DH was vetoing my names left and right last time I told him after a while that he lost his veto rights until he brought some names to the table, ha.
melmaria, I didn't really show at all the first time until around 16/17 weeks. I'm also tallish (5'8") and normal weight.
cactuscookie, I've tried 2 support bands from Amazon (wanted to wear them for work) and I don't like either of them. They're the Azmed and the Neotech. I found them annoying to wear and tended to slide up my belly. Probably because my job is a lot of sit-stand-sit-stand, etc. I'm using KT tape instead and LOVE it! It works well for belly support and back pain. My chiropractor got me started on it.
thom I have a Clark, which would likely meet your criteria. Most people love it, but we've gotten a few "oh"s. And annoying superman references.
Thanks for the suggestion. I like Clark! Our one syllable last name ends in "k" though so I don't think it sounds good together. We'll obviously find a boy name if we need to, but it's starting to drive me half crazy.
scm1011- that's a good point, and I'm working on it! One of the names he brought up is Barrett. I think he's only half serious on it though. It's tolerable, but I don't really like it. What do you all think? Could this grow on me?
He does have a few other suggestions I like better than Barrett, but I suspect we won't be able to make a real decision unless we're holding a baby boy. I suppose I'm mostly bummed that he hates all my favorites. 😁
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I haven't posted for a few weeks because it feels like time has been going by so fast. My job has been so busy that I don't have a lot of time to think about my pregnancy, which I find is good and bad. My favorite times of the day are when my students from last year see me and say "Hi, Mrs. Hazel! Hi baby!" Then some of them touch my belly, which I thought I wouldn't be okay with, but I'm okay if my students do so. I teach kindergarten and I'm trying to start to remind myself to slow down and rest during the day.
3. Questions for the group?
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? I really like pie so it's hard to choose just one. I do like key lime a lot and that one is more of a treat since I don't have it as often.

Interesting. I have some from an old knee injury, so it's worth a try. I'll look into it.
And I hate to scare you guys, but I had random hip pain from PIO breaking up like a year after my last shots. PIO is complete bullshit.
Well that sucks! I foam roll my hips every night after I do the injection which has made a huge difference in not getting the knots that everyone talks about. I still get bruises and can still feel the injection sites when running but otherwise the foam rolling helps!

Oh man, I wish I had known this! I bet your PIO is evenly distributed and will just dissipate. When we started this cycle, I still had big knits from DS.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I started bleeding again on the weekend, but it’s really just spotting, so I am just waiting it out until my next doctor appointment in a few weeks. I am over the fact I cannot exercise. I had planned to stay active during pregnancy and not being able to do so is very frustrating. I also have a sharp cramp on my right side that wakes me up at night any time I move. Since that is all negative, I will be positive now and say that I have been drinking a ton of water and luckily haven’t had any nausea. I am sorry to those who have, that really sucks. 😔
3. Questions for the group? Nothing today!
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? I would say either key lime pie or hot from the oven apple pie with ice cream
