thoseareradishes - you’re giving me hope! I can handle one nap (and it actually would make it easier to start taking him to activities and being around other kids!), but I can’t handle it only being 90 minutes.
His one molar still isn’t 100% through. And now he’s getting THREE canines at the same time. Send help.
When we dropped to one nap, it's usually 2-3 hours. Which is nice. G is also teething like a mother...three canines at once (his molars are in already...so he had these funky looking gaps). I totally feel ya. Hang in there!!!
same boat. Some days S takes only one nap. Most days it is 2.
Saturday he did not take a nap until almost 10:30 and he napped until 1. Last week he napped 2.5 hours on Saturday, so again, just one nap. He seems pretty flexible with us and we just kind of go with what he seems to need for that day. Tough for scheduling things though, for sure.
He also has all of his molars coming in right now. And a cold. Poor guy. I sympathize with you both!
Hi all! Speaking of nap dropping... my DH has decided that A should probably drop her nap (as the SAHD, he gets to decide). We've now gone 2 days without, and there is an enormous improvement at bed time. Instead of stalling until 9 or 9:30, she's been going down without protest at 7:30. I feel bad for my H though. Now he basically gets no break during the day, other than when she's at preschool.
My condolences. I plan to force H to nap for years to come! I think she goes to bed later than A though. I think she gets about 12-13 hours of sleep a day - about 11 hours overnight and 1-2 hours of napping (longer on weekends; shorter at daycare).
thoseareradishes we just transitioned to one nap and it was rough. He was so freaking tired by bedtime even though we moved it up an hour. The 1 has pros and cons. Pros because we can actually go out in the morning, cons because now we only get one break and its anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours so you just never know
