robinsbff's post in the Sephora sale post reminded me that I wanted to ask about these, as I really like the colors in this year's holiday set.
I know a few people here love them. How do you use them? Do you use brushes? Do you need primer?
I really love the colors in this year's holiday set, but so far, I don't really understand how to use them. They look like the tip is too small for them to be efficiently applied as a one-lid easy color, and I've also had trouble blending and creating looks with creamy shadows like this. Has this been your experience?

Ooh, I need to go look at the holiday set.
I'm one who loves them. I usually wear them on my lower lash line for a bit of shimmer/color. I have worn them on my lid, I don't feel like they need a lot of blending, but they do dry down pretty quick. If wearing on my lid I color it in like using a crayon, LOL.
I got them because I had them and the new Fenty eye/lip sticks on my list and I went to Sephora last week to swatch both. The Fenty ones were dry and dragged and the colors were great but that’s all I could say. Then I tried the Laura Mercier and they went on so smooth and great color and really shimmery and again, application was soooooo much easier. So I ditched the Fenty ones and set my eye on the Laura Mercier. My SIL has a few and loves them too, says they need a bit of blending out but I’m okay with that.

Temptalia failed the new Fenty sticks, so you made a good choice!
This set looks so damn beautiful, and it's a good value.
I'm wondering how water and sweat proof they are. I like a little bling on my eyes when I go to the beach.
I have one of the shimmery gold ones and I find it applies smoothly over my lid and then I blend out the edges with a powder shadow. I like it for a quick summer look.

+1
I love Rose Gold for an easy, fast look. It dries down quickly.

Yes! I read that review last week and felt very validated, lol. In the store the Fenty were displayed with the caps off but LM with caps on. So afterwards I wondered if the Fenty had just dried out and would be better when stored properly but her write-up eliminated that idea.

I received the rose gold stick in a Sephora play box last year and I looooved it. I was very sad when I had used it all up. I applied it directly to my lid and then just blended it out with my fingertip. It was very easy to use and had a great color payoff.

I love these! I need to buy the set. I apply it to the lid like a crayon, then blend it out just a little with my finger. If I want a second color I have to hurry because they dry quickly, but I can blend them together. Best part is they are sweat proof, so I wear them a lot in the summer.
I wound up buying the set last weekend when I placed my sale order, and it arrived yesterday.
I freakin love them. They are easier to apply than cream shadows, and seem easier for a two or more color look as a result. All four in the holiday set are super sparkly and gorgeous too. Staying power seems excellent. They are exactly what I wanted.
My only complaint is that they all look a bit similar when sheered out, but I suppose that can be said of any shimmery light shadow.
