I woke up without either a toddler alarm or a my phone alarm for the first time in.... forever. Now I am getting ready to head out for 16 miles. I love these fall days where I don't have to hustle and start running in the wee hours of the morning to beat the heat.

I’m up for another treadmill run. It might be fall but temps are around 39 and it’s rainy. The worst weather to run in. But I’m home from my marathon work travels and am just glad to be back to my own routine!

I walked the MCM 10k this morning. I made it in under 90 minutes, which was my goal. I was able to jog a little for the first 1.5 miles and then my hip started hurting. I don't think this bodes well for the Richmond half in 2 weeks.
I slept nearly 9 hours last night, it almost makes up for the horrible sleep of the past week. My workout today will be running the "parent mile" at the kids' running series. It's the final race today, the kids are excited because they get medals. DD was almost 10 seconds faster last week than her first week, so we'll see if she's any faster today.
