I had my day 14 ultrasound today after being on Clomid for days 3-7. I only saw the ultrasound tech and am waiting to hear more on the Patient Portal. Anyway, they only saw one follicle. I know the goal was 2-3. Does anyone have experience with this, or know what they tend to do? We’re supposed to do an IUI after a positive OPK.
I only had 1 good size follicle on the first IUI (I had a few smaller ones) and we just continued (we did letrozole and ovidrel for trigger for first try). It only takes 1 and not every follicle has an egg and some follicles have more than 1 egg. They didn't cancel the first IUI if that's what you're wondering. Our other IUI's we added injectables but we've had all negative beta's from IUI so we're moving to IVF.
ETA: We didn't actually do the IUI's until follicle reached 22mm so depending on the size of yours you might have another week to allow it to grow some more.

I had 1 follicle for 2 or 3 of my IUIs. It was annoying because I would have preferred to have 2, just for an extra target, but my IUIs still went on as planned. They may up your dose if this cycle doesn't work. IUI is tricky because you don't want too many follicles, because then you run the chance of ending up with multiples.
I've been through the IUI process before - we had three before conceiving my son. The doctor called me later this afternoon and said they weren't too confidant about going forward this cycle. They said it was up to me and I still could, but that the chances were lower. They want to increase my Clomid for the next cycle. DH and I talked about it and with the costs and the physical and mental toll it takes us, we might just have to sit this one out and hope for a better number next month.
I can't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure the IUI that resulted in my daughter only had one follicle. The most recent IUI I had 3 follicles and ended up with twins.
