This is the feeling I have every time. She looks so peaceful and happy. And I'm happy to sit here all day and hold her while she sleeps. But I know as soon as she gets through the deep sleep phase she will wiggle, see me, and start playing with my face, and she's up. If I can put her down successfully she could sleep much longer which is good for her. Or she could wake up and stand up and be mad at me for disrupting her and then it's just this big thing when right now I have my feet up and could just close my eyes right here and listen to her breath. My heart rate always goes up a little when I decide what to do.

She is so cute! For the most part, is Amelia becoming a better napper these days? Maisy has finally become a wonderful napper (yay!) and as long as something like the dog barking at nothing or her brother messing with her doesn't happen, she'll sleep 2-3 hours these days. Amazing, because I used to be lucky if she napped for 20 minutes. She napped 4 hours the other day, and I found myself impatient for her to wake up. I didn't know what to do with myself!
Oh man, she's gotten so much better! Now that she's really active and her room is totally childproof I bring her in there when she starts getting sleepy and let her play independently on her rug while I chill out in the glider. It doesn't take long for her to come to me and ask me to pick her up and nurse her, and then she's good for usually 2 hours. Yesterday she slept for 3 1/2! I just have to make sure that I immediately close the blinds to keep the dogs from people watching, and that their crate is open because when Amelia is on the prowl that is the first place she's headed lately. I know what you mean, 3 1/2 hours and I don't even know what to do with myself anymore, but it makes her so happy when she's awake! I'm relishing this now because I'm guessing when she starts walking we will have trouble for awhile again.
