Refurbished ipad?

I know nothing about them. If I'm looking for one for dss to use mostly to watch YouTube, what should I look for?

Anything certified refurbished should be fine. Newer/more memory is better, but you have to balance cost. For kids, the iPad Mini is a good size. WiFi only should be just fine (I wouldn’t pay more for 4G). Put in in an Otterbox or Lifeproof case immediately!

I saw a new Mini for $279 online today. I get nervous about refurbished electronics, may not be logical but there it is.

We’ve had three certified refurbished minis for a year now. Bought through Apple, and the largest storage capacity as possible, just WiFi. They’ve been great and are used daily, for at least an hour every day. They were totally worth the money we saved!

I think the refurbished ones will be covered by warranty, I remember asking at the apple store because we will be getting K one this year for her birthday. Double check that though, but that will factor into our choice.

Yes, it looks like 1 year if you buy through apple. 90 days through Best Buy.
