I'm up and headed out to meet my ride to the shuttle to take me to the start of...a 10k.
Most logistics I'm willing to endure for a 10k.
I also kinda stopped running a few weeks ago because I had a random plantar fasciitis flare up. So this might be more of a leisurely stroll. Question is do I run with the friend who's usually slower than me but currently in better shape, or really take it easy and roll in with the friend planning to walk the whole thing? I'm thinking option a, hoping I can keep up.

Good luck racers!
Up to put breakfast in the crockpot. I thought about going back to bed but decided on a upper body workout instead. Depending on how long my workout is, I may walk to Starbucks.
I am off to a cyclocross race at a brewery. Everyone loves this venue, and racers get free beer. Too bad I'm not a beer drinker. I usually like the course, though.
I'm up and heading out in a while for a run near the lake for some (hopefully) pretty foliage views because the endless rain finally stopped. Later I'm going to an REI talk on winter backpacking :-)
Me, thanks to a 3 year old and daylight savings. I'm drinking coffee and just relaxing at the moment, we are starting our drive back home from Savannah later this morning.
My race yesterday went about like I figured it might, a PR was just out of reach. I had a few mentally tough miles, but for the most part it was decent. I ran with my mom and 2 running buddies, and we pushed each other to have a better race than if we'd run it alone
Good luck racers! I have my cousins baby shower today. My yoga class got cancelled for this morning and Tuesday because they had to close the studi due to water issues.

I’m up and driving home now. It will be a rest day with a walk later. I have 3 friend running NYCM and am waiting for them to start so I can stalk them. Good luck racers!

I’m up and done with 7.3 miles. I ran it inside while watching the NYCM. It convinced me that next year, I have to find a marathon to run. No more excuses. Easy to say today, when I knew I could stop at 7, haha.
Good luck racers! I can’t wait to hear from those running NYCM today how it went!

This is why I will never do this 10k.
I think this was our last year. They ran out of finish line food for the final waves. My friend who walked was very grateful I hadn't eaten my pretzels yet. And then the food trucks started closing down too. A solid 2.5 hours before the end of the finish line festival. It's just always something. Even with IM in charge.
Whines aside, it was fun. I ran with TriBestie. This was the first time we'd done a race TOGETHER in years. Many selfies were taken and than we had several beers and lunch and all in all it was a good morning.

This has been a long day. I got up at 3:30 am, took a train from DC to NY, cheered for the elites and my friends at NYCM, had dinner, and now I’m trying to get home, which won’t actually happen until the wee hours of Monday morning. I’m exhausted, but it was a fun day.

I’m on the train from NYC to Boston now. NYC Marathon was incredible. I have a full blown cold and I’m exhausted, but was really happy with my performance today.
