I have a dentist appointment 2 days after my FET. Should I:
A. Go and not mention potential pregnancy. X-rays are fine. B. Go and tell them there's like a 40% chance I am knocked up. Awkward. They'll probably skip x-rays. C. Reschedule until I know whether I am knocked up or not. It will be hard to get back in anytime soon probably.

I just got on the cancellation list because I was 9 weeks pregnant. Even without x-rays, I was nervous about it. I'm on the cancellation list, so I'm hoping I"ll get in sometime in the next few weeks, I asked for after Thanksgiving when I'll be 12 weeks. Odds are it would be fine, but it made me nervous.

I think I saw the dentist at a similar point during treatments once. I just told them I had had a fertility treatment recently and wasnโt comfortable with x-rays. I vote go and just opt out, theyโll likely not question you.
Gmmm, IIRC you like to keep things like this fairly private, right? Personally, Iโd go and disclose, but Iโm an oversharer.
Not super private, I just hate awkward things. LOL After we got pregnant with DS we basically told the whole world we did IVF.
I don't know why I'm overthinking this. I guess because if it wasn't for infertility this wouldn't even be an issue. At 2dp5dt it wouldn't even be on my radar to not do X-rays if it weren't for having an embryo transferred. I think I'll just tell her I'm doing fertility treatments and I don't want x-rays. I think I also dread it in case I go back in 6 months and I'm not actually pregnant. UGH.

Overthinker, party of 1.
Totally not over thinker. I have been pregnant in the first trimester several times in the last 1.5 years and cancelled my dentist appointment for that reason. I was too nervous to tell them that was the reason why. And then was glad I hadn't because I lost all of them.
If it makes you worried, you could be even more vague and just say you want to push your x-rays off until the next visit. As long as there isn't anything crazy going on with your teeth, I would guess they won't care.
icedcoffee, I totally get it. I avoided going to my chiropractor for probably a year, after I told him I was pregnant and then miscarried. I just couldnโt handle the follow up questions. By the time I went back, heโd forgotten about it, but in all honesty he probably forgot the moment I left. Overthinkers club!
