@vtcupcake, I’m still pissed as hell at your stupid doctors. And I remember telling K about your endo, and him saying “That person sucks.” And I couldn’t agree more and am so glad you finally got to the right people.
On my non-training end, work and life have been bonkers. I barely made a huge conference deadline, thanks to both my co-authors on my two papers dropping the ball. My H’s grandmother passed away suddenly. I’m about ready to strangle half of my students. Stress?? A little. But on the plus side, I got asked to be on the editorial board for the top journal in my field, and the ink is now dry on my first book contract.
Workouts have been about the only thing keeping me sane.

- How are you dealing with the Z2, small ring, short swim madness?
Well, today I wrote down my swim workout and added 800 extra yards by accident. Oops. My swim pace has been on fire lately. As for the Z2, small ring? I’ve grown to be ok with it. Mostly because I can see the very evident results from it all. I started running with a power meter a few weeks ago, and my run efficiency took a dramatic turn for the better. So I’ll keep plugging, because it’s clicking for me.
- Have you thought about any other races/events for your 2019 schedule
Yes. I’m debating doing an Oly 2 weeks post IM. That seems ridiculous. I’ll probably throw a 70.3 in, but I’m really not sure.
- What are you doing after your long ride this weekend?
Nothing, because I have no long ride this weekend. Power test tomorrow, then long run on Saturday. After which I will watch football all day.
