Am I the only one who constantly has this song in their head when Friday rolls around? (I mean, I know my old work wife does, because most Fridays I get a text about it.. Beep beep.)
It's recital weekend for DD. She has rehearsal on Saturday morning, and the performance on Sunday afternoon. We had plans to go play outside at a friend's house tomorrow, but based on the smoke and air quality, that can't happen. I'm dreading having two kids who have to stay cooped up inside all day for the next several days until they're able to get these fires under control.
DH has to work on Monday and daycare is open, so DD and I will be having a girl's day. She's so excited. We're meeting a friend for brunch, dropping my car off at the shop, and then I think I'm going to surprise her with the Nutcracker movie. Hopefully it's good. If not, hopefully I can sleep through it.
Tonight, I am playing in ANOTHER volleyball tournament for DD's class trip. I am ready to just give them money at this point.
Tomorrow, DH and DS will be gone all weekend for opening weekend of deer season, so DD and I will have a girls day. Lunch, shopping, ice cream. She then will have her first real babysitting job, so I am not making too many plans so in case she needs something. I don't want her to have to call the mom on anything because it is her 30th bday party. She will have a friend too which will help.
Sunday nothing, but Monday - I am off and the kids are not!! I am going to piddle. Leisurely eat breakfast and drink coffee. Tackle a couple of cleaning projects, maybe, or maybe watch TV. Go for a run, drink a glass of wine and cook lasagna, stay in pjs all day, who knows. DH is off, but supposed to be hunting. He better not screw up my me time with his shenanigans.
3 day weekend for the kids, not DH. Tomorrow DD2 is supposed to have a soccer game - 3rd attempt to play it - but we are expecting another 1.5-2in of rain overnight. I can’t see how the fields will be playable.
DD1 is hoping to have a friend over on Sunday. At some point I was hoping to get to my parents’ to pick up a desk for my office. My current one is crummy and they don’t have room for my grandfather’s beautiful leather top desk. I also have a ton of catching up to do around the house. The next few weeks are really busy and I need to spend a lot of time at the kids’ school, but I’m also hoping that my proposal will be accepted and that I will start working soon. So I’d like to try and get ahead a little.
Tonight DS has a sleepover and DD has a team dinner. I’m buying chicken at Aldi because it’s next to the pizza place. Also buying frozen meals for while I am gone.
Tomorrow oldest has a golf tournament then coaches a volleyball tournament, Middle has soccer followed by a volleyball tournament, youngest has a birthday party. Somewhere in there I have to see my mom. I start the day at the doctor.
Sunday is church, brows and another soccer game, plus packing for SLC which means I have to find a jacket (my two TNF are missing and DD doesn’t have them) or buy one (or wear the one the dry cleaner destroyed the leather trim on).
Tonight is movie night. Tomorrow I have a GNO where we are going to paint pictures of pumpkins. And drink. I’m mainly on board with the drinking.
Tomorrow DD has her last cheerleading game. DS could go to a birthday party but we didn’t rsvp so I think we are going to skip it. I feel bad about that because we mostly socialize with people who have kids DD’s age. It seems unfair.
I can't wait to get out of here! my head/ jaw is killing me so maybe I should just drink. I haven't all week because I haven't even had the energy to drink. That is sad, right?
We have the soccer jamboree and end of season party tomorrow unless it gets smoked out. Tomorrow should be better than today where going outside hurts.
Sunday we are celebrating dh’s bday and ds has planned the whole day with mini golf and his favorite restaurant (that ds wants dh to choose on Sunday because he has so many -per ds).

If was such a nonstop day and I am tired. Nothing but pizzaand lounging on deck for tonight.
Tomorrow DD1 and I are going to the art museum for a Christmas tree exhibit. Sunday the girls and I are visiting my parents. At some point I will do chores, errands and maybe yard work. Typical weekend.
I went in at 6:30 and worked through lunch so I could leave early and take DD and her BFF to the trampoline park. It was awesome but I still have a boatload if work to do this weekend.
Tomorrow she has a birthday party in a northern suburb so we will drop off and go see my dad. Sunday we’ll go to Target and try to get a ton of stuff to put in our shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. They are collecting them next week!
I've been traveling since Sunday and head home on a 6am flight tomorrow morning. I am so excited to be home, even though I am completely and absolutely buried in work. DH heads out of town on Sunday for a few days, which is good for him, as he has been solo parenting all week.
We met my family in Austin, Texas (midway since they’re in Maryland) for a long weekend to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. Of course it’s freezing and supposed to rain.
Our flight this morning started to push back and then had a menchanical issue and we sat on the runway for 1.5 hours and then did the 3 hour flight. With 3 kids. Luckily they did pretty awesome, especially 16-month-old DS2. He stayed strapped into his car seat the whole time and even took an hour nap.
And it was all worth it to see my kids with their cousins. DS2 is particularly info my sister’s 19-month-old daughter.
I’m feeling bad for being gone this weekend though because we’re missing two bday parties, an end of season soccer party, and a baby shower.
DH job got done faster than expected so get got home at 5 tonight instead of Saturday. He came home in a foul mood DD and I changed our date night plans and ate dinner at home instead before heading to open gym. Tomorrow hopefully Century link will be fixing my phone line issue that has been temp fixed for almost 18 months. Sunday is up in the air.

Yesterday was pizza and movie night and I got to pick the movie! (Mary Poppins). I find I'm always picking classics on my night to try and like...force some culture into them.
Today, Saturday is everyone's last soccer game and DD's team is having a party after. Naturally DD has finally gotten somewhat into the groove as soon as the season is over and DS still hates my guts for enrolling him. After all that my MIL is in town and we're going to DH's grandfather's house to see both of them.
Then finally, Sunday is a fun run at DS' school. We're doing the 1K and my goal pace for DS, DH, DD and I is 26 minute half mile, lol. Afterwards DS is staying with his boy scout troop to clean up the fun run and DD and I are going to a kid party. Somewhere in there I need to sneak in my 8 mile run as I am officially training for a half marathon again. Half.
DH always sees my BFF’s DH at Starbucks. BFF and her family were supposed to be camping the entire week of Thanksgiving but have cancelled that so instead will be at our house. !!!! I love when they are here for Thanksgiving. It makes everything so much more awesome. And it cracks me up that our DHs are coordinating Thanksgiving menus in the middle of Starbucks. (She’s doing the mashed potatoes and green beans, if anyone is wondering.)

Yesterday was my Friday off. I helped in DD's class, dropped my car off to get a new radio/information center installed (covered under warranty, whew!), and then in the afternoon (the kids had a 1/2 day of school) my mom showed me and DD how to make a pie (she makes them the same way her grandmas did). DD and I had a movie night at home while DS and DH went to a basketball season kick-off fun night.
Today we have nothing planned (!). We got about an inch of snow last night, so DD went out to play in the snow this morning. We might go to dinner and to see the new Grinch movie this evening.
Tomorrow we have church and then no plans after that. I may actually take a Sunday afternoon nap.

No big plans — today was a normal Saturday for us, swim lessons and just enjoyed being at home the rest of the day. Tomorrow we are going to check out a pottery painting place to maybe get a start on Christmas gifts, otherwise just be at home. Hopefully I’ll find time to make a pie and doe some organizing. Planning to do my big Thanksgiving shop on Monday, since I’m planning to do turkey on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Saving Thursday for a community gathering.
Soccer was cancelled today and I’m not sure we will be able to play mini golf tomorrow due to the smoke. . I warned ds today that we may have to change to bowling or something indoors. He took it well.
ETA. He cried about it this morning. Maybe we will play with masks? It’s a memory right?
