What kind of pants do you wear for jogging outside when it’s below 45 degrees? I went out the other day in leggings and they were fine but I’ve borrowed dh’s Under armor fleece wind resistant joggers and they are toasty. I can’t find anything similar for women but I admit this is not my comfort zone re shopping.

I have some cold weather reebok tights that are lightly fleecy inside. I wear them in under 40 but not too cold. For colder temps I have a pair of polartek fleece lined leggings from Athleta. I like them a lot for pretty cold temps. Now for really really cold temps I can throw on some fleece pants overtop of them, lol. I don’t normally run when it’s that cold out but my race last year was -15 degree windchill and that combo kept me warm.
I have an older version of these, and they have held up well for almost any winter outdoor activity (other than cycling--I have cycling specific clothing).
I have a pair similar to this that I love. (Same brand, but mine are a few years old.) I've worn them for a few very chilly races and they kept my legs nice and toasty.

I usually wear my regular running tights, but if it’s very cold (under 20 degrees), I have a few pairs of tights with brushed fleece on the inside. I have a pair of the Athleta tights that sadlebred linked, and I also have some from Target (C9 line). They work equally well, but they make me too warm unless it’s in the teens or below.
I have fleece lined leggings from Target/C9 and CWX that I like when it is 10-35 ish degrees. Single digits I wear 2 pairs of leggings or a leggings with a running skirt. Below zero and I hit the treadmill! For me the important part is mittens or gloves and covering my ears.
I got some from Kohls last year and my huge thighs rubbed together causing so much pilling in the crotch. Sucks because they were really comfy! I really like my C9 ones from Target.
I love my C9 (Target) fleece lined tights for colder. Drawstring waist, back zipper pocket, zero chafing issues. I wear them from about 10-35 degrees. I got mine a few years ago and I'm bummed to see they don't seem to have them on their website. Take a look in the store, since they do change their styles often.
Below 10, or if very windy, I have a pair of Athleta wind warrior tights that do great with blocking wind and staying warm.
I double up if it's below 10, I have some that are more of a pant style (Brooks maybe) that I can wear over my tights.
If you're going to be out in really cold weather and have the frozen rear end issue I do, I highly recommend a butt jacket. Aka insulated skirt. I got mine at Costco, but they seem really popular this year and I'm seeing a lot of ads for them.
Smartwool makes several that seem good. They're also nice with leggings and boots for outdoor activities that involve sitting on cold bleachers.

Maybe now is a good time to admit I wear shorts down to 39 w/o wind. After that I have a few pairs of thinner tights that are for down to mid 20's range and fleece lined for anything lower. Once it gets to teens/below zero I will double up. I'm not a huge fan of capris and will basically skip over them for outdoor running.
A lot of finding what works for you is trying things out and making mistakes. I remember one of the first really cold & windy runs I went on where I realized that all my friends had on two pairs of tights and was like man that never even crossed my mind!
I layer when it gets below freezing. Tights with another layer of something warmer like fleece pants over them. I'm always cold at baseline so I layer a lot.
I haven't found running gloves yet or socks that keep my fingers and toes warm.
One reason I'm hesitant to run Boston again is the weather during training the year I ran was brutal.
I like my Saucony Siberius tights. They seem warm enough from about 20 degrees down to zero. Depending on wind. Below zero I wear fleece or even sweatpants over the tights. And if it’s below zero and windy I don’t run outside. 😁
My underarmour coldgear tights are a nice choice for 20-30 degree temps where it won’t really warm up on me. The Siberius get a little too warm then. And I agree with a PP that above 35-ish I usually don’t wear full tights unless it’s icy/windy.
My gear is still an evolving art though. In spring, I will wear shorts and tank and gloves for a race that starts in the 30’s but is sunny and forecast to warm up. In the fall, I might wear thin long tights for a run in the 30s to low 40s, especially if overcast.
At 45 degrees, I would wear shorts 🤷♀️. Fleece lined tights are for the teens or the single digits. You have to figure that your body temp is going to rise 10-20 degrees so you are essentially running at 55-65*.
I also hate capris so it's really either tights or shorts for me and I'm a lot more concerned about my top: core, hands and head being comfortable.
