I have three going. I started an ARC of The Night Tiger bu Yangsze Choo, which is quite good. Set that aside when my library copy of Barbara Kingsolver’s new one, Unsheltered, came in as a two-week loan. But then we got Wundersmtih, second in a middle grade series that my daughter and I love, so I couldn’t wait to start that one after she finished it. Weekend plus holiday coming up, should help my reading time.
Qotw: up at 5:45 on weekdays, usually asleep by 10:30. On weekends I get up around 7, same bedtime.
I finished an excellent murder mystery, The Word is Murder, by Anthony Horowitz. This is the start of a new series and the second book comes out in the U.S. next year. I can't wait! Now I'm trying to find time to read The Labyrinth of the Spirits by Carlos Ruiz Zafron. It's a clunker at 800+ pages but good so far.
QOTW: I tend to go to bed between 10 and 11 and wake up between 5:30 and 6:00. I might stay up a little later on the weekends, but my wake up time is unchanged. DD is an early bird. Luckily, I'm a morning person.
Vox by Christina Valcher - It started out strong for me , but felt it go flat? I see the connection to handmaids tale and how terrifying it would be if something like that were to happen, but it was just meh for me. Great discussion book however? Currently reading:
Almost Missed You by Jessica Strawser - So far so good, but I am only a few chapters in.
Just got Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain, so that will be my up next
QOTD: Weekday 5:45 or 4:45 (If its a walk/run day). Bed: 10ish? Weekend 6 am, sleep depends, if I am home 10-11? Out, depends ( i prefer being home though lol)
I'm halfway through Anne McCaffrey's The Masterharper of Pern in my extended re-read of the series. I didn't really remember any of it so that's fun.
I'm listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Technically also still in the middle of Wolves of the Calla but my library loan ended and I don't feel like picking up my paper copy.

I finally finished Children of Blood and Bone. Fantasy is usually hit or miss with me and this one was a definite hit!
I started Legendary (Caraval #2) this morning.
QOTW: I go to bed around 11 and get up at 6:15 on weekdays. Weekends I go to bed at all different times. Usually later, but my body refuses to allow me to sleep much past 6:15. I end up getting less sleep on weekends.
Dietland by Sarai Walker. It’s not bad so far! I’m watching the show next.
I’ve had bad colds off an on for like a month so I haven’t read much. This past week I’ve caught up a bit and read:
Nine Perfect Strangers Liane Moriarty The Cactus Sarah Haywood A Simple Favor Darcey Bell
They were all fine. I’m in a bit of a reading slump, I’ve tried like 10 books I couldn’t get into lately. So I feel like I’ve read five more books than I actually have.
QOTW: I try to go to bed by 11-ish. I get up either at 6 with my husband or 6:50 right before he leaves for work. We used to sleep late on the weekend but my husband takes medicine at 8 am now so we’ve been getting up then and then napping if possible
I finished Us Against You by Fredrik Backman, 4.5*. I also finished Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Reid, 2.5*. I liked the premise of the book, but I didn't like the way it was written. There was too much repetition, it ruined the flow. I started The Bear and The Nightingale by Katherine Arden.
QOTW: I usually go to bed around 10-10:30 and am up around 6-6:30 everyday regardless of the day of the week.
Last night I finished Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire. I like all the books in this series but they're really short so I always wait to get them from my library.
I am listening to Becoming by Michelle Obama but don't have a lot of time to do so. Going to see her tomorrow for her book tour!
My hold just came up for Hope Never Dies: An Obama Biden Mystery so I will be reading that next.
QOTW: I try to go to sleep between 10-11 during the week and my alarm goes off at 6:45. I usually don't actually get out of bed until 7:30 though. I try to sleep until at least 9 on the weekends but MH usually wakes me up around 7.

Oh, I'll have to add this one to my list - I really enjoyed Magpie Murders.

I really liked Children of Blood and Bone as well. I have Legndary on my list too - I was just wondering what to read next and this might be it. I think Caraval is fresh enough in my mind that it will be easy to pick up.
I'm finishing up China Rich Girlfriend this week. I like the series and will definitely add the next on to my reading list.

Didn't read much this week. Still chipping away at "Don't Let me Go"
QOTW: Weekdays I wake up around 7:45 and rush around like crazy because I can't get up early enough. Weekends I try to sleep in whenever I can but there hasn't been a lot of time for that lately.
Plug for Book Club voting: voting for six books ends on Sunday night. The next six books/votes are next week! Go vote!
Read: The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row by Anthony Ray Hinton 4 stars/ nonfiction This is one of the people Bryan Stevenson freed from death row after being wrongly convicted. Interesting read, especially if you read "Just Mercy" by Stevenson first (if you haven't read that, go read it!!)
The Highlander Who Protected Me by Vanessa Kelly 3.5 stars/ historical romance There's a previous series that apparently needed to be read first to get the main characters' backstory. That kind of annoyed me.
Saints for All Occasions by J. Courtney Sullivan 4 stars/ fiction This is very much a character-driven novel, but I love that kind of thing.
How to Date Your Dragon by Molly Harper 3 stars/ paranormal romance Cute, has some problems, but a nice light read.
The Winter King by C.L. Wilson 5 stars/ fantasy romance This was a re-read for me, still loving it.

Does she read Becoming? I have been watching for an audio copy of it at our library but it hasn't been an option so far.
I'm reading the same books as last week - Little Fires Everywhere, and Click Here to Kill Everybody.
QOTW: My sleep schedule is all over the place since I don't work outside the home, and I sleep poorly in general so I just sleep if I can and get up if I can't. Sometimes this means I'm up around 7 am when my H gets up for work, sometimes I'm not up until 11:30 am. Regardless of when I get up, I usually go to bed around midnight and am asleep by 1 am (I read in bed until I'm sleepy).

I just finished What Alice Forgot. I liked it but not quite as much as Big Little Lies. Now I have to figure out what to read next. May run to the library tomorrow instead of being lazy and settling for something I can get on e-book from Overdrive.
QOTW: I feel like a teenager with my sleep schedule compared to the rest of you. I'm just such a night owl, and I frequently have trouble sleeping well anyhow. I tend to finally fall into bed around 1am even though I plan for midnight or so. Weekdays I finally drag out of bed about 7:50am but Saturdays all bets are off. Sunday I am up by 9:30 so I can make church at 11.
Kingdom of Ash- 4 ⭐️ The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 4 ⭐️. I started this when my son was reading it for class and he told me it contained the “n-word”. Turns out the n-word was negro, so that was pretty anti-climatic -lol. I brought it up to him hoping to start a conversation (I was also thinking of Eddie and Suzanna in Dark Tower when he calls her black and she gets offended and insists she’s a negro), but he was like, “huh well my teacher doesn’t know then because she said that was the n-word”. No inkling of or interest in the topic. So, I’m not sure what to do with that. He’s only 11 so its fine that he doesn’t know, but I’m disturbed his school left him with the impression that negro is the big, bad, n-word, you know?
QOTD: 11-ish to 8:30-ish. I’m a night owl who’s been working part time so I can stay home with the kiddos. I EARNED my late start by wrong overtime during the infant and toddler years.
I just finished listening to Fatal Grace by Louise Penny. 4* Still reading The English Wife by Laura Willig.
Random: my goal was 40 books for the year, but my audio book amount spiked more than I expected and I’ve read 56 books total. I didn’t think it had gone up that much, but I would still be shy of my goal without the 18 audio books I’ve read this year, so generally on target. Fun to analyze myself!
QOTW: I wake up around 6:15-6:30 during the week, 7:15 for yoga on most saturdays and whatever time happens in Sunday’s. My boys like to sleep in most of the time, so we can get to 7:30-8 for sure on weekends. I go to sleep between 10-11 most nights, every day of the week.

I am finishing up some horror books that were recommended for Halloween but never got a chance to read.
The Silent Companions by Purcell, Laura- 4.5. This one was by far my favorite The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson- 3.5. Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist- 4.
Trick or Treat: A History of Halloween by Lisa Morton- 3. Idol (VIP, #1) by Kristen Callihan- 2. contemporary romance about a rock star Oakland (Images of America: Pennsylvania) by Walter C.Kidney
I finished Every Breath You Take, Mary Higgins Clark 3 1/2 starts - I find this series of books even if they are a bit predictable, but that is also what I like them - easy, comfortable read.
I am halfway through Bellewether, Susanna Kearsley - I think others have mentioned reading it and she also follows a formula, but it also works for me!
QOTW: I go to bed around 9:30, read for 30 minutes, and am (thankfully) asleep within two minutes of turning out the light. I get up at 6:00 on weekdays and 7:00 on weekends (6:30 if I am doing yoga). I would naturally be a night owl, but life requires early wakeups. If I didn't set an alarm, I would sleep...a lot longer.
I've never posted on this board, but read a lot so I'd love join in
I was reading Warlight, and I'm about halfway through. But I have had a lot of library holds come through on my Kindle that I've been waiting for for months, so I had to turn my wifi back on to download them before they expired (I had Educated on hold since probably the spring and I was going to lose it if I didn't grab it by Sunday) so Warlight disappeared on me when I connected. It was just getting good, too. I hope I can get it again soon (it's on hold again).
So now I'm reading Becoming by Michelle Obama. I also have Educated waiting for me, and Fear by Bob Woodward of course came available at the same time so that will be read soon too. I think I really need to buckle down on reading in the next few weeks!
I usually go to bed around 10:30 and get up about 6:30. Typically I read until I get sleepy, so I probably actually sleep from 10:45-11:15 or so though.
