Good morning and happy racing! I did a VERY informal 5K at 5:30 this morning. Our daycare provider invited me to come with her and do the run at her fitness center, which was basically a glorified group run. This was perfect for me as I kept it low-key and plodded along. Weather was nice at about 25 degrees and roads were clear of any ice or snow. Which is pretty good for late November! Perfect start to the morning. But gosh it is humbling how slow I actually am right now. And I had to pee so bad when I pushed the pace even a little. I made it without a bathroom stop, so I call that winning. 😊
Heading out for a Turkey Trot with the family... my family is incredibly slow getting out the door and my husband is getting incredibly antsy that we won’t be there with enough time to warm up.

I’m up, finishing coffee and breakfast with my dad. Once my H gets back from his workout, I’ll head out for 3-4 miles. It’s cold, about 28 degrees, but clear and very light wind so it should “refreshing”, LOL.
It’s so cold today! Only in the teens right now. I have tentative plans to run with my running buddy after the parade. But not sure if she’s up for the chilly temps or not! I’ll probably run on the treadmill if she bails. Supposed to be 40s this weekend so I’d rather run outside then!
Happy Thanksgiving! No trot for me today, but I've been up since 5 because my dog didn't get the message that it's a day off. Saw our houseguests off and watching the Macy's parade. Heading out for a short family hike later before dinner.
5k in 12 degree weather! I was registered for the 5 miler but they cancelled it due to the cold. This race normally attracts about 10,000 runners. I am very curious to see what the numbers will be. It is unfortunate that I will not have an official time as my friends picked up my bib for me and they got there really late. I started without them. My mom said the starting line was being broken down by the time my friends arrived!
I did a bootcamp in my basement. We are eating before DH goes to work so I had to start cooking early! This is the first holiday I am doing all the cooking so the food leaves a little to be desired, lol.
It was a gorgeous morning out for a ride--about 55 when I finished. Sorry those that had windchills below 20 degrees. A friend of mine did the turkey trot in her hometown in VT where it was -16F degrees. I can't even imagine that!
I ran/walked a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot with my SIL and niece while DH, my sister, and BIL raced it. I was originally planning to carry BabyE with me (and OMG you guys, my 7 week old has her first race bib!), but it was below freezing so we left her at home with my parents. They were going to bring her to the part of the race that passed our street, but it was just to dang cold.
