I had a really good Thanksgiving and managed to mix old and new seamlessly! DS and I did our annual turkey trot run and got coffee after. Then DD and I had lunch with my friend and her daughter (plus my mom and my friends self-absorbed boyfriend). DD has to work, so my friend and her crew and I went to the movies. I then hung out at bf’s with his kiddos until I went window shopping with DD and her friend. It was a really good day!
I’m off today and currently laying in bed watching Growing Pains. I got some preblack Friday stuff online on Wednesday (coffeee maker, spot bot) and $5 pjs last night. I have no set plans for the weekend except getting DD on the bus to go back to school 😞. Going to hang out with bf this weekend although we don’t have anything set in stone yet.
Turkey day was good, except having to work at 5PM. People are flipping insane. I guess they started camping out at midnight for the store to open at 5PM.
I was back here at 6:30 this AM and another huge line was waiting for the 7AM opening.
I posted this over on ML but I will share it here too.
It is black Friday and people are actually calling the store asking if certain things are in stock. The employees are already running around like crazy dealing with the customers in the actual store and now they have to field stupid calls. Then to make matters worse, if whatever they are looking for happens to still be here, they get all pissed off because we cannot hold it for them. Is this your first rodeo with Black Friday? If you want shit you have to either brave the masses or buy online. None of this "please hold it for me and I will stroll in at my leisure" business.
I'm "working" today. At least half the company took today off, so fingers crossed it stays nice and quiet.
I am most definitely not an in-store Black Friday shopper. Actually, I found my deals online Wednesday night, so really I'm not looking for anything now. I haven't even thought about gifts for other people, LOL, these were just deals for me/the horse that I'd planned on buying anyway.
Best find? The $240 Sorel boots I've been eyeing up FOREVER (since I saw my BFF wearing them last fall) and have been unwilling to spend marked down to $140 at Net a Porter. They're only 25% off on Sorel's site today, so I'm thrilled. Joan of Arctic Wedge
I'm not working. I'm at my parents house watching how their communication gets so easily screwed up and how little perspective they each have about it at times. Sometimes the education and training I have really is more of a curse.
No Black Friday shopping in person for me. I don't like big crowds and especially not when there's very little room to move. So I'm looking online, but the website I wanted to buy dance shoes from is annoying me. The promos say 15% -35% off the entire site, but the shoes I want to buy aren't showing up with even the lower end of that. So I'm waiting for tomorrow when I know I'll get 15% off using the code for the organization where I take classes.

Late to the party but hell, let’s keep the post going.
Thanksgiving was good, but quiet. Split it between my sister’s house and P’s parents.
Went to a Black Friday yoga class which was amazeballs. It was completely full and the teacher was brutal but it was so good. I can tell my upper body strength is improving and I actually got myself in to full wheel, which I haven’t been able to previously.
Did some online shopping. Got some new running tights and sports bras and a rug for P’s office. Currently sitting and drinking coffee and contemplating more shopping.
bullygirl979 I'm with you on wondering who the parent is sometimes and on sitting around, sipping coffee and contemplating more shopping.
I'm thinking of getting myself an LL Bean chamois shirt, but debating between a men's one, which will be boxier but definitely have long enough arms, or a women's one which is more fitted but with slightly shorter sleeves. My arms are weirdly long for my height/body, so I'm leaning towards the men's shirt, especially since I view it as more of an outerwear layer.
Still haven't figured out what to get my dad for Christmas.
