Bangkok: We LOVED Bangkok. It's so crazy and busy. We stayed in Chinatown and don't regret the choice at all. We did a food tour the first night to get our feet, and make sure we woke up from our nap. Did Grand Palace and Wat Pho the first day. Did an AC day the second day to escape the heat - Mall food courts, movie (a vacation tradition), sky bar. Day three was a day trip to Ayutthaya, which was amazing and vast
Chiang Mai: Like the slower pace of the city and the walkability. Ate great amazing food - most our favourite dishes were from the north: Khao Soi, Sai Ou, Nam Prik, Cowboy Pork. Got some foot massages - amazing. Loved the street art. Did a great cooking class - Pantawan Cooking. Looked at temples, swam at the pool.
Railay: This was a great beach couple of days. Fun to get to - only accessible by long boat and amazing scenery. However it was CRAZY busy by day with day trippers. So we tended to get up early and enjoy the spaces in the morning, and then sit by the pool or on our balcony reading, and having a drink during the day, and then out to watch the sunset and eat. The food options were meh, but what I'd prepared us for.
Happy to answer questions now and in the future - but thanks for all your help!

"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
