I think there's a big difference in public perception about the capabilities of an older woman versus an older man. Women typically live longer. I think HRC in 4 years is going to look a lot different than the way McCain looked four years ago. So I don't think her age will be a barrier to a run in quite the same way that it would be for Biden.

They do, but she still has that other factor-she's a woman and sexism along with ageism could prove quite a problem,

There's much more ageism when it comes to women than men. The US will not elect a senior woman as president... in the next election, at least. My coworker and I debate this all the time (he loves HRC), but I don't see it happening.

I am more optimistic that an Obama victory would lead to the Rs actually having to give a little allowing for some things to actually get done. Basically the goal of the the House has been to make Obama look bad, and if he wins it's a signal to them that they need to play ball. So I think there may be some progress on getting a budget passed and some tax reform.
