Nothing interesting here. Back to work today. DH is working 7p-7a this week. Itâs going to be weird not having him home at night. The overtime check is going to be nice though.
This weekend will be low key. Maybe some Christmas shopping and walking downtown. Maybe even try one of the restaurants for lunch.
Therapy today. My dad is supposed to stop by tomorrow. Family pictures and doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Family pictures on Thursday if the weather doesn't cooperate on Wednesday. Birthday massage on Friday.

H is working on home renovation stuff all week, and I'm hoping he gets a decent amount of progress done. I've been trying not to nag, but I'm starting to get really anxious about running out of time to get everything done.
I'm also shopping some Cyber Monday deals, trying to decide how much to buy right now. It's stressing me out to think about spending so much money in one day (/week, if you count all of my BF spending) but, again, time is running out and it's time to start buying the things we still need.

R has class on Wed, it's the last one. On Thurs, we are taking T for an evaluation for a helmet (he is a very good sleeper who consequently now has a very flat head, so we're pretty sure he's going to need it) I'm pretty anxious about the cost/whether insurance will cover anything.
This weekend is my niece's birthday so we're going back up to my parents' first then there. Since we were just there I wish we weren't going back already but what can you do.
We're all sick so trying to take it easy and kick that.
ewall - I mostly just want a place to put all of the stuff we have piled up everywhere! We're expecting furniture to be delivered at the end of the week, and I'm so ready to start doing some organizing.
I was so looking forward to going to work today but of course G has a nasty cough and fever so we are home. This is day 5 of being stuck in the house, minus a trip to the doctor and the grocery store.
I'm debating whether I want to return and rebuy some of the gifts I bought online at Target over the weekend. The same stuff is still on sale now, plus an extra 15% off. It will wind up being another $20+ off so I probably will. We're doing Elster gift exchanges with my siblings and H's and neither of us can really think of anything we want. Each gift exchange is $100 so that's a total of $400 we have to spend/receive. We made a pact to have no gift cards, or else everyone just exchanges cards/cash and it's kind of pointless. I wish we could just agree to all buy for the kids and that's it.
Not much else going on for the week. I have a meeting to attend after work on Weds, G has a quick appt on Thursday, and then Friday night is the evening with Santa my school sponsors. I'd like to attend to support the school/get an easy picture opportunity without having to wait in the crazy mall lines. One of my favorite students is helping to run it so I don't want to disappoint her.

((Hugs)) to all who are sick. Both boys were really sick last week and L still isnât doing great with his cough/breathing and itâs keeping him up a lot.
We went for a 6 mile run this morning and stopped at the bank and grocery store on the way home. Walked another 0.7 mi or so. I have now run 3 days in a row thanks to my new Apple Watch! Need to cook dinner and then we will likely walk to see Christmas lights before DH gets home.
Tomorrow- watching our friends kids. Hoping to run 3.5 miles before they get here.
Weds- preschool, run, grocery shopping
Thurs- surviving rain, if it actually rains
Friday- preschool, running, chores
No plans for the weekend, which wonât happen again til next year. We have all of our Christmas stuff up so hopefully we will get out as a family, I will run a little (maybe with my dad and the boys), and I would like to go to this sandwich/craft beer place we all enjoy and that I got a good deal on ($7.50 for $20 worth of food...we basically spend an extra $2 and then another $12 for beer).
School all week. We had a 7 hour drive yesterday just H and I. Happy 40th to him. We are planning on going to a new Brazikian steakhouse here to celebrate his birthday.
E is with his grandparents all week so it's nice to have a week child-free, although I already miss him.
Friday, we're driving up to Dallas to pick up our sectional that we ordered, then driving back home. That's gonna be a LONG day.
I'm hoping to begin Christmas decorations this weekend.
I took the girls to music class today. I was glad to get out of the house.
Lunch tomorrow with my mom and grandma. I was whining to my mom earlier about stuff so she offered to buy me a margarita at lunch tomorrow. I am so looking forward to that.
Wednesday storytime at the library and paw patrol live that night.
DH has a couple vacation days to burn through so he's taking off Thursday so we can go to the science museum in OKC. It'll be fun but exhausting.
Friday hoping to rest!
Saturday there is a breakfast with santa thing I want to go to. That afternoon is my niece's birthday party.
This week is just crazy busy. It will be fun stuff but I hope the girls can hold out with all the activities we have planned.

Ugh sorry to hear L is still not doing great, friend. Itâs exhausting when they are constantly sick. What did you guys wind up doing for Thanksgiving re: sickness?
We put up the tree today, it was a snow day for all three of us!
Tomorrow: New/Expecting Twin Mom group for dinner at Panera. Doesn't look like many people are planning on going, but it will be nice to get out of the house after work and eat my favorite mac and cheese after being snowed in today.
Wednesday: after work meeting, @@ possibly putting together at least one crib. BF Mattress order due to arrive Wednesday.
Thursday: need to bake, if I don't start tonight.
Friday: Nuthin. Baking maybe?
Saturday: A has class, and at night it's my friend group's cookie exchange!

Blue Moon- thanks friend! It has been non stop and they are literally tag teaming their bad nights of sleep đ. L didnât nap good again today because of his cough and he was not himself this afternoon (cuddly, laying on the floor).
We ended up staying home. It was 100% the right decision. L was really bad on Friday (breathing treatments werenât staying on top and he had phases of fast/shallow breathing). C relapsed on Sat too. Heâs still coughing a lot when he plays too hard.
How is G feeling? I hope you all are healthy soon! ((Hugs))

Why havenât I bought an air fryer sooner! I threw in some frozen fries last night when I got home from work. They were perfect! Crispy outside and soft inside. I almost made some for breakfast lol.

Sounds like you definitely made the right decision. Sorry that you were put in that position though. I always maintain that sicknesses are the hardest part of parenting.
My G is okay, thanks for asking. He still has a really nasty cough and fever though. My H is home with him today, and it's my turn to be home again tomorrow if necessary.
A work vendor took us out for a fancy steak dinner tonight. Yum!
Tomorrow night I have a seminar on weight loss surgery to determine if I want to do it. I think I am going to do the gastric sleeve in February or March.
Thursday night is an evening Christmas event at our local play place. Two of the other moms from daycare and I are bringing our kids.
Friday I am off and sending the kids to daycare in hopes of cleaning and going to see a movie. Probably Crimes of Grindelwald.

Hope G is doing better!! We were so lucky with C...he was hardly sick his first 2 years of life. Much worse now and L has been a typical baby always getting sick. I am just glad that we donât have the logistics of trying to manage two full time jobs with sick kids...kudos to you and everyone else! My DH does not have a flexible job so not sure how we would deal with all of this if I had to work too.

DH has to work Saturday now. Iâm not happy. He is already working 20 hours of OT during the week. Granted the paycheck is going to be great but I was hoping they wouldnât make him do another 8 hours.

L and I ran to the tribute site for the Fire Captain that was killed by a suspected DUI while riding his bike (he was also training for Ironman Arizona). So very beautiful and sad at the same time. I just canât stop thinking of his wife and daughters. I told C where we ran (and showed him the video...we have been praying for them and he asked where I ran) and he wants to go see it too (itâs 6.3 miles round trip from preschool but 8 miles from home...still might try to do it with him).
Since getting my Apple Watch on Sat, I have run 27.1 miles and have a total of over 47 miles between normal steps, walks, and runs!
luv2rn4fun Way to go on mileage! I only have 2.5 miles of hills with the jogging stroller so far this week...going to hit the hotel treadmill tonight. I need new shoes so going shopping on Saturday.
I got stuck in traffic today. 2 hours to go 9 miles. It was caused by a tractor trailer of ground meat that caught on fire. So basically a BBQ on the interstate?
Hope you get a good run in tonight!! I need new shoes too (didnât realize how bad mine are...have had them for almost 2 years- yikes!) so finally ordered a pair today and they will be here sometime next week!

I tried to get the boys out for a run before the rain...got the stroller ready and put C in and then it started pouring. Good thing it started when it did! DH left for work and I got the boys to run âwiggle laps (from one end of he house to the next and back)...C ran with me for 15 min and I was able to get 3.25 miles in (107 wiggle laps LOL)! Six days of running in a row! Havenât done that in a long time (maybe years!)!
ETA: I met the âexerciseâ goal but I still need 440 calories to meet the activity mode.
