I slept in til almost 9. It's raining out and will be yucky all day. I am going to ride the trainer, go to the grocery store & bike shop, and flop on the couch for a long stretch of relaxing and catching up on tv.

I’ve decided today is rest day. I woke up with a migraine this morning and don’t feel like moving much today. I need to finish putting up the Christmas decorations sometime today.
Already back from DS’s swim meet in Baltimore where he got all personal best times. Picked up DD1 on the way home after her 2 hr LAX clinic. Now I’m done chauffeuring for the day! I will hop on my bike and do some serious cookie baking (and catch up on some work, that is less thrilling) DH has a swim meet today too, but he’s on his own. I can only watch so much swimming in a weekend and it’s raining*
*Not sure what the raining has to do with the not going to the swim meet other than it is making me cranky b/c it is always raining. Locals know what I mean, lol.
I woke up with a cold — I could tell I was coming down with something yesterday, but after DNSing THREE qualifying races at the start of the year for various serious sicknesses, I was telling myself "it's only a 5K, you can crawl the 3 miles if you have to." Anyway, I only felt moderately shitty.
Had a good time, and was only 13 seconds off my PR on a slightly hilly course and I wasn't even trying. 😳 So now I'm signing up for another 5K ASAP, going to work on speedwork, and see what I can do.
Also, it was a jingle jog, so and there were so many fun costumes. My favorite was a couple costume: he was in a pink bunny onesie, and she was wearing a leg lamp costume like this one:

I’m obviously up at this point.
I met my group for a 10 mile trail run. I had a GREAT time. I haven’t run trails in over 6 months, and I wasn’t sure if I’d still enjoy them as much as I did last winter. The answer is yes. This particular run felt a lot easier than when I did it last year, which was a nice feeling.

The radar here has been completely green until the last hour. The radars says it's clear at my house...but of course it's really raining--hard.
We are more than 13 inches over for the year; the weather person said it is one of the rainiest years ever--only coming close to 2014, which was the 5th(?) wettest year on record and probably surpassing it by year's end.
