My weekend was pretty good... nothing really happened. I experienced Burlington Coat Factory so that was fun. And I got to have dinner with my sister Sunday night.
I don't know what I'm looking forward to this week. It's all a ton of work and stress.
Oh! My new vape unit should be coming in the mail! I'm definitely looking forward to that
Weekend was good. I was suppose to take my great nephew to the zoo on Saturday but I ended up working too late to make it there in time. So to make it up to him, I took him on Sunday to the huge Dinosaur show/exhibit that was in town this weekend. He flippin' loved every second of it.
So saturday night I was open. Instead of being wild and crazy I found myself at the coffee shop working on some things. Starbucks is hoping on a saturday night. I was surprised. My sister (we are room mates) hosted her book clubs holiday party and since I do not know any of these ladies, I didn't feel like hanging out for it.
Sunday we made it home just in time for the start of the Vikings game. I knew we had a slim chance of winning but damn that was some horrible reffing.
This week, I am looking forward to Wednesday. It is my day off and the only thing I have planned is physical therapy. I can't remember the last time I had a week day off that was not scheduled with 8 million things.
I'm not thrilled with it being Monday already. Weekend was good. Went to a casino with friends and bf on Friday but it didn't feel like we had enough time to hang out. Got up early since bf had to be at his son's basketball tournament early. It started to snow like crazy, so I ended up relieving bf's parents as they were watching the two younger kids. Yesterday, I had a catch up coffee date with my friend and we're going through some similar things, so we both ended up crying. Mostly, hung out at home yesterday.
My mood has been really awful the last few weeks and I just can't shake it. I'm considering a SAD light, but I'm wondering if it's something more.
Ugh, Monday. The weekend was far too short, and I'm looking forward to Friday already
You know how I mentioned last week I should brush up my resume in case I see a good opportunity elsewhere? A peer just gave his 2 weeks' notice, so we'll all have a great time splitting up his responsibilities until a backfill is hired. I guess I'm not the only one who is thinking this way!
The corgi and I survived the weekend. He has graduated to being permitted to walk throughout the house, including stairs, which means I can walk him out the front door on a leash instead of carrying him around. We're both much happier with this arrangement, although of course he believes he should be let out to run around the backyard like a crazy dog.
I tried Amazon's prime delivery of Whole Foods this weekend, and I was a bit disappointed - I'd say at least 50% of my shopping list was substituted. At first I was like "oh, I guess all bagged greenery is hard to come by right now, so no wonder they subbed Kale for my spinach", but then my bananas were "out of stock" and they sent organic bananas, same for the celery, etc etc. I now suspect their shopper is as inept as I am at locating things in a grocery store, and just grabbed what they felt was the next best thing rather than check one more aisle over. Challah and Brioche are not the same, and neither is subbing pancetta for bacon, LOL (HOW would any grocery store ever be out bacon?).
This weekend was good. Friday night I went out with my friends to our annual get dressed up in Christmas pjs and onsies and see the Christmas lights. We ran across people who saw us the previous year and wore onsies hoping to see us.
The rest of the weekend was chilling and chores. The next three weekends are going to be crazy so I needed to chill.
My weekend was really good. The parade on Saturday was so much fun, even though I'm *still* a bit sore. Saturday evening I went to a fancy dinner for my friend's birthday. Afterwards, we all went for drinks, then back to his apartment (he's roommates with one of my best friends) for some wine. He came up with the plan all because I texted him happy birthday and asked if we got to celebrate him, then told him a quiet celebration is still a celebration. So that was really cool.
Yesterday I got a manicure because one of my nails looked like it was going to split and peel off. In the evening I took myself out to dinner and then ended up meeting up with a friend after she was on a bad date (and after the date she was initially supposed to have cancelled).

Weekend was good. Saturday we went to get our tree and I found the most beautiful tree. It's so green and perfect that my friend thought it was fake, lol. We decorated it and the house for the holiday. Sunday a friend came over for dinner and I made gyoza, fried rice and chili-garlic roasted broccoli. YUM.
I think P and I are doing date night Friday...so I'm looking forward to that.
