Do any of our yoga ladies do this? My studio offers it once a month and I’m thinking of trying it out.
Is it helpful? Also they also says to feel free to bring pillows and blankets. I’m picturing it as nap time with people showing up dragging bed pillows and comforters. Lol. Is it common practice to actually bring blankets and pillows?
I take my own yoga blanket, and use their bolster. I always wear long pants and a comfy shirt (usually a thin sweater) and definitely some nice warm socks. It's the best. I am already signed up for the first one after the holidays, goodbye holiday stress!
I linger in the half awake, half sleep mode most of the class. The teacher will go through body part by body part and direct your attention to relaxing each one: "Draw your attention to your left eyelid, breath in, breath out and relax".
If you tend to feel cold (or if they keep the studio cold), bring layers and wooly socks. The studio would typically provide blankets, bolsters and blocks. You might want to bring your own eye pillow if you have one-- I've caught blepharitis from the communal ones before.
