Color of the Year = How to market unnecessary crap to women.
Hot tip.... you are posting on an entire board dedicated to MAKEUP. None of this shit is necessary. (Except the sunscreen and moisturizer. I need that.)

And men as the colour of the year is also about home decor, paint colours, clothing etc. This would apply to buying stuff for our houses as well as makeup, very little of which is "necessary"

I only speak for myself, and I do consider makeup necessary; but the pantone color of the year doesn't affect my makeup, my clothing, or anything else (not that I've seen it in any new makeup shades), so to me it has no relevance. I don't know any men who are discuss it... maybe they do if it's part of their industry, but generally not.

The point may be that this really doesn't seem to be a helpful addition to conversation on this board. Especially since some of us might actually want to discuss the color of the year.
I've already seen new sports bras at Target in coral, so it's definitely starting to get out there.
Same! I've been wanting a coral top and now I might finally get one! Maybe there will be more/better coral lipstick options out there, too!
Yeeees! I love a coral lip and half the time when I find a formula I love they just don't have one.
Even though I don't love matte lipsticks, I *love* Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Amazing Grace. It's on the pinker side of coral and really flattering.
Coral that leans a little pink is a good color for me and I always get compliments when I wear that color clothing. I need to update my spring wardrobe so I'm also hoping to be able to easily find a couple of tops in this color.
