Hi H&F! I haven’t been super active here lately so I hope you’ll have me back again!
My story is I had a major running burnout - my last full was almost two years ago and I’m just getting back into it... slowly. In the meantime I’ve been taking some spin classes and Orangetheory, but I’ve still gained some fluffiness. Not a lot, but I notice it and I’m not happy with my body and that’s what (I think) matters.
ANYway, so I’m dipping my toes into counting macros now to lose some of the fat. And while I get the concept, it’s also a little overwhelming. Does anyone here know any good resources that can guide me to figuring out what my balance should be each day? And mainly, how to easily keep track? I’ve seen some recommendations for My Macros+, or MFP, but I haven’t tried either app out yet. Any recommendations or advice anyone will offer will be super appreciated!
Husband and I have been doing Renaissance Periodization since January/February and I like it because the program tells you what macros to eat and when, based on your workout schedule. A lot of people there come over from IIFYM or keto and use things like MFP. Personally, I like that they just tell me the amount to eat and that I don't have to figure anything out for myself. I started looking into counting macros and it was too much for my brain.

^^^^ I've been using Renaissance Periodization (RP) for a little over 3 years. I like having a guideline.
