I don't have one, but just got my hair done on Saturday. My stylist said that a few of the stylists at the salon bought one this past spring and now they are overheating (blowing out really hot air) and Dyson won't do anything about it. Dyson says they are fine and that it doesn't fall under the warranty. Granted, they are using them a lot more than the average person, but I wouldn't buy from a company that doesn't stand behind their very expensive and overpriced items.
She did say that they work awesome when they are actually working correctly.

I have one and I think it's great if blowdrying your hair is a must every time you wash. I have to because I have too much hair for it to ever air dry. It dries my hair fast, makes it very smooth, and the air temperature is what I find the most interesting - it's not that hot but dries my hair very fast. It's definitely the best dryer I've owned, including a couple of Sedu dryers. It's also pretty light for what it does.
I don’t own one but my stylist does and I’m amazed every time at how fast it dries my very thick hair. Granted she’s a professional but she’s done in like 15 mins compared to the half hour or so that other stylist take with my hair.

I’ve had one for a while (before I knew the guy was an ass), and it’s going strong. It doesn’t make my hair super smooth, but it dries it bone dry super quickly. I also have a lot of fine, wavy hair and it used to take a really long time to dry. I follow it up with a straightening brush or curling iron, and it’s really sped up the whole styling process.
I also have a ton of medium thick hair that even with pricier ($100+) dryers would take 15 minutes to dry. The Dyson consistently does it in 6 minutes. totally worth it for me.

Wow. H
This is where I am. I have wavy hair that will straighten, but it takes 15-20m.
Dammit. I had basically decided that I’d skip it and get an Apple Watch. But this does seem like a great price and good thing to have.

You are correct centralsquare. I won't buy a thing he makes. I realise that this is my issue as most people aren't effected by Brexit, but it's like buying things that support other forms of idiocy in the US.
I got a Harry Josh dryer (the name makes me laugh) and I can get my hair dry in 6 min. as well. I have a lot of hair! I wish I would have timed it using a crappy dryer and not using my heat protectant (that is supposed to speed up the drying process.) Maybe I can remember to time it when I travel
Still pricey, but less than the Dyson, and it works great. My natural hair is really fine and dries super fast, but I was hating life when I had my extensions in. Add to it that I spend good money on my extensions, so I want to treat them well, so I bought this one after my stylist recommended the brand. Its great. I currently have nearly waist length thick hair and it dries in 10 minutes or so. It dries nice and shiny too (though that may be the Kenra spray I have been using too). I love that the air it blows isn't really that hot, so I don't burn my skin at all.

What spray do you use?
Not who you were asking but I used to use the Kenra platinum blow dry spray, it worked so well. I think that what product the PP above me was referencing as well.

You are correct! I love the Kenra Platinum blow dry spray! steph96
Should never have come in here. Coveting and will NEVER EVER be in the budget lol. I have really thick coarse hair and live in Florida (so...humid). If I wake up and take a shower in the am and never dry it, it will still be damp when I go to sleep and wake up the next day. And smell like it's moldering. ICK. Right now I just blow dry it crazy (no brush) so I can do it as fast as possible to get to my iron, which is what makes the most difference in my hair.

I got this on your rec b/c Macy's had it in their 30% off F&F sale. I am impatiently waiting for it
I got one as a gift last Christmas. My hair used to take 20-25 minutes with my old dryer and it’s now bone dry in about 8. I wash my hair everyday so it’s saved me hours worth of time in the last year alone.

I love this stuff too! I get so many complements on how healthy my bleached to hell hair looks when I use this.
I have a Sedu that I've used and loved for almost 10 years. I always thought it dried my hair super fast until we went to a spa when we were on our UK trip. They had Dysons there and I washed my hair on a non-washing day just so I could try it. It was amazing. When my Sedu dies, I'd be really tempted to buy one. I just have to reconcile their jerk CEO.
