Made this for an ornament exchange. Rainbow glitter unicorn. Shrinky dink and resin. I may have to make another to send to cmeon for her rainbow collection.
I have two of four harry potter house hats done(one for my big kid, three for the neighbors kids, who are besties with the big kid). Stretch goal is 6 (to make them for the girls across the street), extra stretch goal is 5 more after that (for the grown ups). I'm confident about the 4 done in time for Christmas. I might be bloody done with hats by then tho.

That is adorable!! I finished up my last order of snaptabs and can start on my dad’s Christmas presents of Jeep themed shirts in vinyl now. I still need to figure out what holiday clothes my kids have that fit and make a couple more if they need it.
I'm 3-D printing a rigid heddle loom (it uses dowels for the frame). It's going to be a long print with a lot of parts, but, people have woven with it and give it high marks- why not! You know me, new year- new hobby.
DD made ceramic ornaments for her teachers, so I'm filling up the rest of the kiln. On a whim, I made a few pi-pun ornaments last month (apple-pi, sweetie-pi, pi-rate), a golden golden ratio, and a glittery imaginary unit, and DS thinks they're absolutely hilarious, so he wanted some for his teachers (makes sense for math and STEM, not so sure about the rest- LOL). We do GCs for all of them, but, the kids like to have something of substance to give, too.

I need details and pictures. I really want to try weaving. My mom is going to give me her old loom she doesn't use anymore, but she hasn't found all the pieces yet, and it's kinda on the big side to learn with.

Well, there's nothing too exciting to take pictures of today, but, I for sure will update when I have something to look at! It's this print: www.thingiverse.com/thing:490467 and I'm 1.5 8 dent reeds in so far. Ha! Tomorrow, I'll get some of our other printers working on smaller parts, I just didn't feel like dusting them off and firing them up today- but, that will speed up the process a lot.
Is yours a RHL or some other type? That's exciting! Do you know what she's missing?

A four something table loom. I remember my mom set it up once when I was a kid and that's the only time we ever used it. Shes missing the accessories for thread9ng it. And something else. The main loom is all there, but the accessories are somewhere random in the house and she hasn't found them yet. I might ask her what's missing and just buy replacements at this point. What are you going to make?
Eta: any idea what the final print will weigh in grams? Our library offers printing and they charge by the gram, curious how much that would be to print there.

That's awesome- a four shaft loom, I imagine. You can definitely get new accessories, go get that new toy! I have no idea what I want to make first, but, I guess I'll start with a scarf (inspired by the fact that I'm freezing today).
I'm still working on a lap blanket I started before the election and then put aside. I'm just getting back to it. I think I'm realizing I prefer ticker yarn and bigger hook, lol. It goes so much faster.
A 3-D printed loom sounds SO cool! The closest I've come to weaving is a 4" x 4" loom, LOL
I'm battling tendonitis again, and am blaming it on yoga. When my wrists feel good I'm working on a couple of projects for the Indie Giftalong, and my Advent scarf (which is addictive, but I'm so far behind it won't get done until February)

Today was the first time in a long time I’ve been really angry at my vintage sewing machine. I was working with a jersey knit, trying to turn under the edges of the sleeves and the neckline on the in the hoop shirt from the same designer as the doll. Yeah, lettuce edge. Three muslins later, I drafted this dress. The pattern piece is saved with the skirt measurements so I can make it again. The doll was not hard to make, but the file for the diaper wasn’t right and the pants were super tight and not ok. I’m thankful I can both digitize and edit files and draft sewing patterns. My husband mentioned tonight that he thought I was pushing my embroidery machine (PE770) past its limits. I laughed and suggested he let me upgrade. I suggested the next price point up at $1500 or else 6500 for a multi needle. He was a lot happier at the cheaper one, lol.
shortcake2675 , I made DD so many soft dolls over the years, they're still one of my favorite things to sew- so rewarding to get all those fiddly parts to behave.
I love her, I bet she's going to be adored!
Let us know when you get your new machine- that's exciting!
All the kids' ornaments survived the back to back kiln fires, and were safely packed up to give to their teachers (with GCs/notes). DS's amusement with my pi-puns was shortlived, but, he was happy to give the "math" ornaments to his math and stem teachers (with plain old pi ornaments)- LOL.
I have all the parts printed and the dowels marked- I'll hopefully work on cuts when it warms up a little today. There's a printable inkle loom, too, but, I think I'll just make one out of wood (they're pretty uncomplicated) when I can get around to it.
She is so cute shortcake2675! I’m sorry you had issues with the clothes pattern, but the dress you made her is perfect!
How in the world did you get her nose to stand out? I can barely stuff a stuffed animal evenly, let alone do something like that.
It’s a piece of 1/2” chair foam cut into a wedge, between the outer skin and the lining. Pompoms work too, but mine were too small and it was 2 am, lol. Not my original idea, there’s a whole group of people who have been making these dolls for 6 months. but the foam was a stroke of genius at 2 am and Walmart’s closed.

I made so many dolls there for a while that I completely quit making them. But this one started it all over again. I had so much fun with the hair. It’s completely original, as she’s supposed to have faux fur baby hair. But if I make another, I need to do some work on the clothes. Harem pants. Jointed legs don’t really work in super tight leggings.
shortcake2675 she is so adorable! Are you making her for someone you know? I love her!
A very dear internet friend couldn't find a doll with the puff hairstyle, so I made her a doll. I'd planned on asking if I could make the doll for her in April for the child's birthday, but the timeline just moved up. She shipped today. Nothing like the last minute!

Can y’all cheer with me?!? I was a machine this week, cranking out stuff and just have to take home ornaments to assemble for our moms if when I find 4” hoops since my Joann hasn’t restocked since I bought them all. o
The kitten in the fishbowl is meant to be colored with washable markers, then washed and colored again. I can’t wait to see her reaction. I don’t expect my dad to put this on his Jeep, but I couldn’t resist.
Not taking my machines home has been my goal for the last 6 years. And I finally achieved it!! Merry Christmas!
