that lived with his grandmother and took care of her question?
Well I dated him. We went on two dates. I googled him before we went out and nothing came up. We had a third date planned and I heard from him at like 1pm that day and when I tried to confirm the time I never heard back from him.
So I googled him again. And this time without the city. Just name and state. Not sure why I googled him again but I did. And it came up that he was a registered sex offender. I had a friend that is a cop look up his record. He was arrested for attempting to kidnap a 16 year old from her school. He spent 2 years in state prison and is still on parole. My friend said he should have gotten more like 15-20 years but he must have had a good lawyer. He also had a long rap sheet including many theft arrests and drugs.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... GOOGLE YOUR DATES! Check the national sex offender registry every time This is the second one (the first one I found out before we went out) and this is the third one with an extensive criminal record.
Also, match does screen for registered sex offenders. Plenty of Fish does not.

that is so scary. How did you know it was actually him? Was it that odd of a name that no one else could be that person? Just curious so I know if I ever have to google my date.

this is so scary. and one more reason why i am not looking forward to dating!
bk - how were the dates? was he creepy? did you get a weird vibe from him?
I definitely got a weird vibe from him... I wouldn't say creepy though. He seemed very nice and sweet and genuinely seemed like he wanted to get to know me. He did say one thing that should've been a red flag which was saying that it was okay to bring my son on our date. He doesn't have kids so I figured he just doesn't really understand, thought he was just being nice. But in hindsight that should've raised a red flag.

Ugh. I've had two guys who suggested that I bring my DD on a date with us. Neither were parents. I don't care. Everyone in the world should understand that's an absolute no-go. I cut off contact with both of those guys immediately and explained why I was doing so.
