The good: we made it to Disneyland for C’s bday and had a great time with my parents! C is gearing up for his Christmas pageant at school and is singing Jingle Bells all the time- so cute! I also get to go to preschool on Fri to celebrate C’s bday with him and his class- looking forward to having special time with just him!
The bad: C is getting in trouble at school. The last two days (Fri and today)...Fri- he threw a toy at a boy because he took a toy away. Today he tried to bite a girl who also took a toy away (but he had taken it from her first). He has been more difficult at home lately too- more angry and aggressive than normal (which I can only link to him fully dropping his nap but not sure if it’s something else)
We started reading Llama Llama likes to share and a book on friends/how to be a good friend, takes about what he can do vs can’t when someone takes something from him and am currently looking for more books that might help. I also told him he will get a sticker at pickup for every day that he has good behavior (no reports from the teachers). Any other ideas? Book recommendations?
I don't know how many of yall lurk on GotP, but I had a couple scares this week.
Monday afternoon was crazy busy at work and I was on my feet all day. Despite getting enough water, I started contracting about 5:30 and it didn't stop until I went to bed. OB appointment was Tuesday and my OB was concerned. She's talking about reducing my hours or trying to convince my boss to let me float to a lower acuity unit (like nursery or lower level NICU-- honestly I would love that).
And I slipped and fell in the shower yesterday morning. I landed on hands and knees and baby got all 10 kicks within 15 minutes and no bleeding. Had a couple contractions after, but they stopped. I did call work just for reassurance and they said that I know what to look for but as long as I stay hydrated and rest for the day, I should be fine. And it has been fine, baby has been moving, no bleeding.
But I'm still contracting every once in a while. Even today, when all I'm doing is sitting in the car as we drive home. I've downloaded a contraction timer and am using it, at least for the frequency aspect since I can't get to the app immediately when a contraction starts.
STM+ mommies, did yall contract more/earlier than with first babies?
I'm also anxiously awaiting the results of my 1 hr glucose test and my CBC (check for anemia).

((Hugs)) pooh8402. How many weeks are you (assuming around 25-27 due to glucose test)? Our friend just had to be on bedrest for a couple weeks (starting at 24w) due to previa and bleeding. I hope you are able to get some rest and keep baby in for a long while! Very scary and I am sorry you are dealing with all of that. You and baby will be in my prayers.
I'm 27 weeks today. Yea, it's made me nervous. I've had 6 contractions since 2:30 today (it's now 8:18) even though all I've been doing is sitting in a car. I had 2 in a row before typing this post.
I'm definitely going to be playing closer attention over the next several days.
((pooh8402)) I went over to GotP to catch up. Keeping you in my thoughts.
MIL is taking both girls tomorrow night. This will be my first night away from C. I'm a tiny bit nervous and very, very excited. DH and I are going out for early dinner and drinks then crashing at home. I'm hoping to get to sleep in past 7! Glorious.
pooh8402, sending you good thoughts for the contractions to stop. luv2rn4fun, sorry that you're having a rough time with C at school. Does he like Daniel Tiger at all? I know there are a few episodes that deal with the situations you're describing. In fact, my kids just watched one last night where Daniel was angry that he had to share toys at school. We use it as a talking point with my daughter. bk1, that sounds so awesome, enjoy!
Contractions now occur pretty much anytime I'm standing. Ughhhhh! As long as I'm off my feet, it's okay. But I had 6 in a 2 hour span of time today just walking around Target.
I'm scheduled to work tomorrow and I'm worried how that is going to go. I'll likely start contracting again, tell my charge nurse, and depending on how busy it is, she'd likely keep me there but off my feet as much as possible, send me home, or tell me to clock out and check in as a patient for monitoring.

I totally forgot to respond to this, sorry.
Thank you. He’s actually having a rough time at home and school (biting a lot, or trying to, hitting me and yelling when i put him in time out for pushing L/hitting him with a toy/biting him).
Daniel Tiger doesn’t work for him. Tried it with potty training poop issues and it didn’t hold his attention. We are reading books and they are clicking but not translating to better decisions by him. Not really sure what to do at this point.
