I need a drink and it is only 9AM.
Today is going to be long.
It drives me nuts when people don't read directions or ask me the same question over and over.


In other news, I am working on picking my word for 2019 and am having a hard time finding the right one.
Instead of making New Years resolutions that I know I will not follow up on, I pick a word to focus on for the year.
There is a woman online who has a free website and workbook you can use to help you find your word.
I was working on it for like 2 hours last night but I still haven't picked mine.

Do you make resolutions, have a word or do anything else for the new year?

I am drinking tonight and I'm a little excited about it!

I did the word thing the last two years. The first year, I followed the pick a word email stuff I got and then ended up having it put on a bracelet I wore every day. I picked two for this year and ended up feeling year one's word was still pretty relevant. I think I'll be doing the same in 2019 as I find it way better than the resolutions!

Today is already stressful and hectic, there's just so much to balance and manage. I'm glad I have dance tonight. Of course I have a lot to do at home as well, so I need to make sure I leave work on time today to get all of that done, too. Oof. No drinking tonight, just water.

I did pick a word for 2018 but I didn't know that there was actually a process for it. I just picked a word I wanted to focus on for the year. My word for 2018 is gratitude. I bought a sign that is hanging in my bedroom that says, "start each day with a grateful heart". It's hanging right where I look when I wake up in the morning (well, back in Atlanta that is). I also bought a notepad that has a page for each day with a happy quote at the bottom of each page. I spend a few minutes each day and write down at least 3 things I am grateful for that day. I've really enjoyed doing that and have been thinking about continuing it in 2019. It's ok to use the same word 2 years in a road, right?

And I will be drinking wine tonight...

and kaneen I love the journal with quotes. Any idea where you got it from or what brand it is that I could look up? I have a million journals but I want something like what you are talking about.

She's not here to chirp her good morning to me today. I wish I could take the day off work and just grieve, but maybe it's better that I have to work.
