Gifting a Monthly Subscription Box

For my SIL, I'd love to get her a monthly beauty box. The Sephora Play box and the Ipsy box both say in their FAQ that you can't give them as gifts. I know I could probably work around that by setting up a subscription but just putting her address in, but I'd prefer that it be set up so she can set the preferences, etc. I guess I could also get her a gift card to Sephora, and mention that it could be used for a Play subscription if she wanted.

Has Birchbox gotten any better? I remember people used to be annoyed at their tiny sample sizes and products you had said you didn't want on their questionnaire.

Boxy Charm is nice because it’s full sized items but can get overwhelming after like 6 months.
I’d suggest FabFitFun. The last couple boxes have been really good I think plus part of the box can be customized. I think you can pay for the yearly subscription as a gift.

I still love getting my Birchbox every month, even though some months I don't love much of what's in it. I like the variety and honestly that $10/month keeps my impulse makeup spending down.
