Today: laundry, bagels, groceries, walk, make dinner Weds: C has a Christmas pageant at preschool Thurs: shopping for C’s bday party Fri: C’s bday!! Can’t believe he’s going to be 4! My parents are taking the boys and me to breakfast with Mickey at one of the Disneyland hotels! DH will get off work early but not sure what we will do. Sat: baking his cake in the morning, party in the afternoon
The boys and I are all sick (C’s and mine started early last week but got worse on Fri, L started on Thursday....we all had fevers on Friday afternoon) and no one is breathing great. Hoping we turn a corner soon! I miss running and sleeping LOL
I'm finally on track to be caught up on Christmas presents! I need to pick up about 3 more things, but I have some general ideas for them so hopefully I can order them today.
My friend/former coworker moved to Switzerland last year and is back in town for the holidays so a bunch of us are going ax throwing Thursday evening. Then my last day of work until January is on Friday! I have a 3 big things on my to do list for the work week but they are somewhat manageable.
Saturday we are going to the winter flower show at the conservatory and then on Sunday my inlaws are coming to visit.

luv2rn4fun, happy birthday to C! Hope you all feel better soon, it's been rough in our house too. I had a stomach bug over the weekend but am luckily starting to feel better but both kids have colds (poor T is so congested)

This week will be fairly calm after a busy one last week. R has speech therapy tomorrow and T has his doc band adjustment on Thursday. Otherwise, nothing major. I am done with Christmas shopping (I think, need to double check) so I'd like to get some wrapping done although realistically it probably won't happen until the weekend.
I'm teaching this term and the course started today, I am happy that I have a small class!
I've been bugging H for the past month or so to get me a list of things he wants so I can do my Christmas shopping for him. I finally told him this weekend that we're running out of shopping time, and I didn't know what he wanted me to do since he's very particular and prefers to have gifts bought from a list rather than having me come up with things on my own. Well, he decided that he doesn't want to do Christmas gifts anymore and he'd rather us just both take the money we were going to spend on Christmas and move it into our separate accounts to use as our own spending money on whatever we want whenever we decide we want it.
Honestly, I'm really bummed out. This is our last Christmas where it's just the two of us, and I was really looking forward to getting one last chance to focus on each other. I know that I need to accept that his gifting style is the complete opposite of mine, but I'm just really sad that we had already decided what we were going to do and then he changed the rules on me at the last minute.
I'm working on my performance appraisal/yearly review today. I have a bunch of errands that I need to run at some point.
I'm annoyed at myself that I ended up with a late fee on my Kohl's charge. I always log in and pay it in full when I get the emailed statement. But apparently I missed it in November? Ugh. Also missed my subscribe and save email alert (because it had a different subject line than usual) so I missed the cutoff and am now receiving a bunch of stuff that I didn't necessarily need this month. I could understand all of this if my email was a mess, but I currently have zero items in my personal inbox. I guess I will blame it on holiday craziness and being overwhelmed with life in general. Looking forward to a fresh start in the New Year!
I am mostly ready for Christmas. I have a few gifts that a friend of mine is making. She just announced on her business FB page that she is behind, but promised to have things ready by Friday at the latest. It's the only thing I got for H so I really hope she is able to finish it in time. Everything else is wrapped and good to go.
This week I have a few meetings after school and then my coworkers and I are doing a cookie exchange Thursday. At some point I was told to decorate my classroom door for a door-decorating contest, but honestly I have no supplies or time to think of an idea. This was sprung on us at the last moment so I don't think it's going to have a great turnout. Friday is a half day for me and the kids, and then it's Christmas break!

I've done that before with my Kohls bill. I called the number and explained my oversight and the rep removed the late fee as a one time courtesy. I was annoyed at myself but very relieved and grateful they removed it. Worth a call!
So much to do this week! And so glad I don't have any assignments and don't travel again until next week.
I'm off today and tomorrow, and have a long list of to dos, especially now that the contractions have slowed way down. H is out of town so I'm hoping to get a lot done.
Wednesday I'm on call, so maybe I'll get some stuff done then, maybe not.
Working Thursday and Friday.
Saturday is our Christmas celebration with H's side, then Sunday we're driving to my hometown on the other side of the state.
DH left for Boston this morning. I'm solo parenting until Friday evening.
My plan is to keep us all busy. I'm thankful for how DH's start to his new job (first day today!) worked out. He'll be in orientation this week, be home Friday evening and won't start his first day in office until the 26th. Nice to have a few extra days together before he goes back to work. Having last week off was so nice. I'm feeling more connected to DH than I have in a long time. Having 26 hours kid free and getting to go on a real date made a huge difference.
M - music class T - going OOT with MIL to a different kid's play place W - seeing Santa at the library Th - cookie baking day F - DH home
pooh8402- glad the contractions have slowed down! Been thinking of you!
Thanks ladies! This is round #4 and it has been brutal. L is currently sleeping on me because he keeps waking up coughing. My body is either completely exhausted or oxygen deprived from not being able to breathe well since Fri. It just feels so off...plus I have been wheezing off and on and coughing a ton (bottom right lung is very irritable).
At least we got bagels and grocery shopping done, laundry just needs to be folded, and I made two different meals for the next few days. DH tried to tell me I needed to get my car smog check done (registration is due beginning of Feb) this week and I literally bit his head off. Nope, don’t need anything else on my plate this week or next...it can wait til the first week of Jan (I think he is planning to take it in himself tomorrow though since he has a dentist appointment right there).

Hey all, sorry I haven't been around here much lately. My mental health kinda took a nose dive so I've been stepping back a bit. Just didn't feel like posting about my life if it was going to be negative (even though there really isn't much negative going on). I've been on a new med now for about a week and I'm increasing my dose now so hopefully that will start helping.
A lot has happened over the last few weeks since I've really been posting here! My dad retired, A turned 1 (and she's ALMOST walking), then a lot of other smaller things. Today I did a volunteer event with my coworkers where we helped parents pick out toys that were donated through Toys for Tots so that was fun!
Still pretty busy lately but I'll try to check in here more again
Hey estrellita! Big hugs, I'm sorry you've been struggling. I was thinking of you when A turned one...wanted to give you a huge high five for being a pumping rockstar.

Aww, thank you! That means a lot I'm weaning still but almost done. I can't believe I made it this far!
We are definitely in the middle of "it's going to get worse before it gets better" We were all JUST sick, I feel like this is going to be a long winter.

((Hugs)). I hear ya on he long winter (I actually think we are just going to go through this til school ends for summer LOL). This is round 4 for us and we usually only get 1-2 weeks break between. C is doing much better but L can’t sleep because of his cough. I was up and down the stairs all night last night (probably 10 times) attending to all his cries. Tried to get him into the pediatrician today but they only had a 10a and that conflicted with me being able to support C at his pageant. Might try to see if I can take him to after hours tonight because nap time is going the same again which means it will be a long night.
estrellita I am sorry to hear you have been having a rough time! I hope your new dose makes a big difference and you get back to a good place very soon! Happy birthday to Miss A!
I had my weight loss surgery consultation today, and I am getting the procedure in February. I can't believe that this time next year I might not be overweight. I have been overweight my entire adult life. And most of my kid life. I LOVE the surgeon, and I feel really good about it.

Hi! I’ve been so busy this week. Only 8 hours stand between me and winter break!
We have a Christmas luncheon today at work when we get in. Apparently they never have one for custodial staff so we have no clue what to expect.
DH’s bestie comes tonight. I thought he was only staying a night but apparently he is staying until Monday morning. He’s going to have to tag along with us on Sunday to finish Christmas shopping and a few drinks at the tiki bar.
The guys are going out tomorrow so I’m doing housework and will probably meet up with them later for lunch. I also want to do some Christmas prep.

During our shift tonight a coworker started to have symptoms of a heart attack. A little while ago I got the call he didn’t make it. We were all laughing and joking maybe an hour prior. Man this sucks.
