My traning plan for the big thing next year kicks off in Jan and I'm freaking out a little. But it's a weird freakout, because I can't even sign up for the thing yet. (signups haven't opened)
Is it too soon for a end of year recap/2019 goals thread?
Anybody have anything beyond a family fun run type thing before new years day? We're headed to my mama's on saturday, so I'm hoping for a run or two with her and beyond that will be taking it easy I think.
Nothing big planned here, just the usual morning runs or trips to the gym for my sanity. I'm hoping this cold keeps making its way out of my body so I can get back to running seeing as I haven't done much of anything since Saturday...but who knows?
I have zero planned racewise for 2019 (thanks, fetus) but who knows, maybe I'll throw something on the calendar last minute like when I was pregnant with AJ. It's a strange feeling.
Nothing bit planned. A couple of longer rides--road or mountain bike. I have some time off and plan to do things as they come up. Since I just finished my race season the next few weeks will be very unstructured.
I have nothing at all planned except drag myself to the gym or run.
All I have for 2019 so far is recovery... (.)(.) ... and hopefully running a Spartan Beast a few months later. The running/walking part isn't my issue, it's the obstacles and whether I will be able to do them. Hey, this may be the time for me to focus on running again since I won't be able to lift for awhile.

Thanks, all! Now that we've had our first appt and saw/heard the heartbeat, it feels a LOT real. Like holy crap we're going to do this again aren't we?
itsme, are you getting your boobs done?! If I'm interpreting your post right, that's awesome! My sister got hers done two years ago and has been really happy with the results.

Yes, in 2 weeks! I'm just hoping I picked a good size and type for me. It's so hard to choose and know if it'll look right in the end.
The next thing on my calendar isn't till mid-February: a 10 mile relay I'm doing with a gym friend. It's 3 loops so we need to find a 3rd person for our team.
Today the office was basically closed (we just had to be on call in case something came up), so I went to the gym and got in a 3 hour climbing session. It was so nice to have all the time I wanted during the day when it isn't as busy.
Things have been clicking for me recently and I'm reaching a new level as far as problem solving and learning how to leverage my body. I love climbing so much.
My biggest goal over the next week while I'm off is to map out my 2019 races, plot out the training weeks, then get to work on 1/1. Right now I'm more scared of having to poop in the woods while on my first backpacking trip than anything running related!
No New Years race plans but I will get out for a run that day. I started marathon training last week for Paris in April and it feels too soon. Man a spring race is tough. Other than that I only have smaller races penciled in, a 15k in February and a 10k in March.

YAY for new boobs! What size are you going with? My sister's ended up a bit bigger than planned but over time they seemed to settle a bit...or maybe we all just got used to them. Like you, she's very fit and strength trains quite a bit so having to take some time off from working out in general and even more time off from lifting was rough. Is your H or someone else able to be around to help you the first few days after your surgery?

Well, I have no clue what I will end up with. D? DD? But at least perky! The sizers I tried on seemed to go well with my body so hopefully that's the reality when they are in. I never expected to have this surgery done because when I had big boobs I hated them but I also had a big body to go with it which also made me unhappy. After a second kid and weight loss I lost them and was ecstatic for having little boobs and a fit body but then I realized how sad they looked and at my leanest I was actually very disgusted by how they looked (I've gained since then so they are better) and that's when I made the decision. I chose 520cc for whoever is familiar with augmentations.
I do worry that it may look a little too big when I lose weight again but too late! I've gained over the holidays and it's kinda bad and I realized how bad yesterday when I put on my running shorts, which are usually loose on my legs, and they almost wouldn't go up my thighs at all. So instead of loose shorts, they are now booty shorts. This is probably the most I've weighed since I lost weight. I refuse to step on the scale.
I'm concerned about not being able to lift but I know I'll be able to run before I am cleared to lift so hopefully this will get me back to focusing on that at least. And since I can't workout, I HAVE to be on point with nutrition so it'll force me to on clean up my diet (go to base on RP, not cut).
H will be off for a few day after but I also have a teen who can help when H is at work.
I don't have too much planned race-wise for 2019, mainly just some events with the team I run for. It's so much fun to have people to race with though.
I didn't hit any major H&F milestones this year but I'm coming off a pretty kick-ass week at work. I got two abstracts (both podiums) and a tutorial I'm lead author on accepted to conferences, got a manuscript accepted, and got an official job offer for a permanent position with the hospital I've been working with!
itsme, I'm so glad you'll have help! I can't wait to hear about it...getting my boobs done is one of those "when I'm done having kids" things I'd love to do but until that happens I live vicariously through friends/family members get to do it.
