I am big fan of the Couples (CSS) in Ochos Rios. But anywhere in Jamaica is amazing.
With. DH and I went back in September for a long weekend and stayed at The Jamaica Inn. It was beautiful and we had a great time! The Beaches resorts appeals to us because I know DD (8) will love the water park and other activities. Just wasn't sure what to expect in way of crowds and the food.
Beaches is amazing with kids. If the price is the same, I prefer the Negril one as the beach is better there than the Ocho Rios one.
Basically I say there are some hotels that accept kids (like Riu), some that are made for families (like Jewel Runaway Bay) and some that are made for kids (Beaches). THings like you can have a formal dinner at 5pm, and every bathroom has kiddie height sinks.
Also look at Jewel Runaway Bay as that's awesome! One of the things they do there is having evening kids club from 7-9 I think (something like a movie evening or a dance party) which means adults can go for dinner without their kids without having to pay for an evening sitter.

We stayed there in in 2014 so a while ago but we liked it. It's a smaller property than the other Beaches (small beach) but it has a small water park that is great for young kids and I remember liking the food a lot more than the one in Turks and Caicos (which I thought was just mediocre at best).
