End of year favorites

I didn't purchase (or wear!) much makeup this year, and I'm finding myself needing to purchase all my staples. Some of my old favorites have been discontinued or reformulated (RIP Double Wear Light!) so I feel kind of like I'm starting over for some items. It also has made me reconsider whether or not my old faves are still worthy.

So what are your favorites for each?

I mostly lurk here, but I love lists! I’m seriously thinking of paring down my collection and if I had to use only these items, I’d be pretty satisfied.

Primer: Smashbox Primerizer

Foundation: Armani Luminous Silk (finally caved and bought the small size. Where has this been my whole life?)

Setting powder: Charlotte Tilbury airbrushwhateveritscalled

Concealer: Estée Lauder double wear for eyes, Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage for blemishes

Bronzer: Physicians Formula butter bronzer

Highlight:RMS

Blush: no favorite. I really like the Essence ones right now

Mascara: it Superhero

Eyeliner: Physicians formula Eye Boost

Eye primer: I think I need to rebuy the UD one. The NARS one works, but I think it runs into my contacts.

Eyeshadow or palette: Tarte In Bloom

Finishing powder or spray: Neither, but I do like the Catrice dewy one.

Anything I missed: lipstick? My favorite find this year are those Lancôme glosses. They last and even leave a little stain.

Primer: Primer is one of those things that I use and makes a difference in the overall wear of my makeup but I don’t see a difference between brands, if that makes sense? Currently I am using Too Faced but I also have 2 Smashbox formulations.
Foundation: Mix of Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer and Ester Lauder Double Wear
Setting powder: Aesthetica translucent
Concealer: Too Faced Born This Way, Benefit Bo-ing
Bronzer: don’t use
Highlight: don’t use
Blush: Hourglass Ambient Lighting
Mascara: Benefit Roller Lash
Eyeliner: I use dark eyeshadow as liner, not regular eyeliner
Eye primer: Smashbox 24 Hour
Eyeshadow or palette: UD Naked (1, 2, 3, smoky), and TF Boudoir Eyes
Finishing powder or spray: UD All Nighter
Anything I missed: Anastasia BH Brow Definer

Eyeliner: I second the physicians formula eye boost for liquid. Haven’t found a favorite pencil

I change things up depending on my skin that day or the weather or my mood! I'll just list what I grab for the most.

Primer: Smashbox Primerizer when my skin is feeling hydrated. Bobbi Brown Face Base when I'm feeling dry.
Foundation: Too Faced Born This way/IT CC cream
Setting powder: Charlotte Tilbury under my eyes and Hourglass in my T zone
Concealer: I alternate between Too Faced and Josie Maran
Bronzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soliel
Highlight: I rarely wear highlight and have a few brands but am not loyal to any of them
Blush: Jouer duo in Flirt
Mascara: Bobbi Brown Smokey eye
Eyeliner: I don't use eyeliner. I use a dark shadow with an eyeliner brush
Eye primer: Smashbox 24 hr in the silver tube
Eyeshadow or palette: I've been reaching for Dose of Colors DesiXKatie palette lately
Finishing powder or spray: Hourglass Dim Light and UD setting spray
Anything I missed: I really like Lipstick Queen lipsticks (not the matte ones)

Bonus: Hourglass Confessions lipsticks. They’re a cream formula but they last on me for hours and never dry out my lips.

Edit: Lipgloss! Fenty Gloss Bomb and Bite’s French Press glosses are so good.
