My weekend trail run was cancelled again due to rain and mud, so I’m meeting a group for a 14-16 mile run on paved trails and roads. I’m seriously bummed that my trail runs keep getting cancelled (and it looks like more rain is coming late next week, sigh), but I’m glad I have a backup plan.
Relatedly, I need to figure out if I’m willing to ramp up the effort to attempt a marathon this winter. I’m not feeling optimistic about the trail race that was my goal race. The marathon I’m considering is on March 3, which is about 2 months away. Eeek. There’s not much time left for me to train if I want to do it. My longest runs have only been 14 miles, so I would need to start increasing mileage now.
I have 20 on the trails today. I’m leaving to meet my group in 10 mins.
Before today, my longest trail run was 12 a few weeks ago and 16 last week. If I get there today it will be a huge accomplishment. 50k is in a few weeks and I still can’t even comprehend it!

Lying in bed thinking of smothering DH with a pillow. His snoring woke me up. We plan on walking downtown today then I’ll do an upper body workout this afternoon. I need to start lifting again.
I have a crappy cold.I fell asleep around 2 am and woke up at 10. Sleeping 3 hours yesterday afternoon didn't help that. I bailed on my group ride and will do something easier & shorter closer to home. It's a bummer.
Wines Not Whines, We got 4-5 inches of rain from Thursday to Friday evening. All of our local trails are closed. We get a nice break today--it's even sunny right now! The rain moves back in Sunday-Thursday. We are on track to have the wettest year ever here in GA. We currently sit 2nd. I'm glad I got in 5 days of fabulous riding the first half of my vacation!
I stayed up until about 2:30 last night to finish a book I was reading, so I slept in. About to hit the trainer for 2 hours, then do a 10 min Brick Run.

I did 7 miles this morning. Well it was part running part ice skating Now we’re on our way to MKE for 1 friend stop to see their new baby and 2 family holiday get togethers. It’s going to be a long, fun day.
1 hour of Spin today and then I helped out my friend who was in a jam. He got stuck at work and needed someone to take out the dog he is dog sitting. I took the dog for a 25 minute walk.

Unofficially started marathon training today. I ran 6 miles which is my longest run in years. It felt good but hard. Next week official training starts. Aiming for the full in May but if my knees don’t agree then I’ll push back to the half.

I’m home from 9 miles, and my afternoon plans consist of watching college football bowl games.
We got home at 2am Friday morning from vacay (thank you delayed flight!). I barely got any sleep before I had to be up for appointments and chores. I was in bed at 9pm last night and didn’t get up until 9am this morning! WHOA! Clearly I was tired. But man, it helped my 9 miles feel good.
