I’m in desperate need of a warm weather getaway and have seen some pretty fabulous deals on CheapCarribean. I’m a little scared to book from there as I’ve only used a friend of a friend’s travel agent to book as a large group when we’ve traveled before. Has anyone had any experience with them or another online site?

I haven't used CheapCaribbean but I use online travel sites all the time. I look at Kayak, Expedia and also have a Costco membership where they often have great deals on travel.
We only purchased online. I use Hotels.com normally for simple hotels. But I have also booked direct on occasion for resorts. Costco (with our membership) has always come out to be the better deal. Especially for AI resorts.
I have used bookit.com for one pretty good deal, but I found a few years later that I could get a better price if I broke the package up and bought separately to th3 same place.
I used Costco.com for a package to Mexico, and got an excellent price with very good flights.
For the rest of our vacations, I have used a bunch of online sites, most frequently Expedia.com.
I think that the only time I have not gone online was to book our Viking cruise we just returned from, and the live aboard we are going on next May. Those were booked directly from the company. Same with airlines.
