Did anyone have beta's drawn after 5 weeks? I am 5 weeks 6 Days and had my beta today. Doubling time was 100 hours. My doctor says its no longer about doubling time but all about the ultrasound next week. Both previous pregnancies where there was a heart beat had doubling times ~48hrs at this point (one did miscarry). My last miscarriage had a doubling time ~74 hours at this point and there was nothing on the 7 week ultrasound. I don't have a lot of hope right now and I am not sure how I am going to make it 7 days till my ultrasound 😞
Update: ultrasound showed a heartbeat and measurements were on track!!!
My beta at 18dp5dt for my first IVF didn’t double. And unless I’m mathing wrong that was 5w2d. They told me they only look for a 60% increase. My doubling time was 60.4 hours. Your beta seems reasonable to me! Can you go for an ultrasound on Monday instead? I’m sorry. This stuff is so stressful.

Doubling slows down after betas are over 1000 (my clinic wasn't big on doubling either- I think they wanted 60% or something?). I had mine drawn every week until I graduated at 8 weeks, and they didn't double every 2 days after 5 weeks. Sending you good thoughts!
Thanks all. My totally scientific Online research tells me there’s about 50/50 chance it’s ok. My 48 hr increase was only 39%. But my beta past over the 6000 mark and according to the internet it could take over 96 hrs at that point to double. I’m going to ask for a mid week ultrasound and see what they say. They tend to be stringent about sticking to the timeline

Your beta was over 6000? I’m trying to remember what my doubling was at that point but it was SO slow. I was sure something was wrong. And it kept just slowing down more and more. I was a bit compulsive and my GP gave me a script that said I could get my beta checked whenever I wanted to (she knew I was having a lot of anxiety) and I think by that point it was taking my beta days to double. FX for you.

I'm sorry to hear your numbers have you worried. Doubling times can definitely slow down at your levels. I hope your ultrasound beings good news and peace of mind 🤞
My first beta with DS2 at 5w6d was 6358 and 48 hours later was 9718. The initial doc that drew my labs told me to prepare for miscarriage and wouldn't get me in for an u/s for 2 more weeks. I ended up switching practices and had a very healthy pregnancy with a baby who stayed put until 42w1d lol.

shoeless, my RE was adamant that after a certain point (I want to say 5 weeks because they do first u/s at 6 exactly), beta numbers just rise slowly/weirdly.
I'll keep everything crossed for you. The early weeks are the absolute worst.
shoeless, YASSSSSSSSS!!!! Congrats. When is your next ultrasound?
Don’t know yet. The doctor won’t see the results till Monday. I’m hoping it will be only a week since google tells me the heart rate was just a little low for 6w6days (115) and it carries up to a 15% chance of miscarriage. I really need to step away from google!
