H is going to a conference in northern Germany in April. I found a $400 flight to Copenhagen so we're spending a long weekend there after his conference is over. We'll have two full days and two half days (arrive a noon on a Friday and fly out at 2 pm Monday). What should we prioritize seeing in that time? Generally like to be active so we're up for long walking days.
Also, any recs on places to stay? We're looking at going the Air BnB route depending on costs.
I enjoyed seeing the crown jewels (and choosing which pieces I would borrow if I was Danish royalty) at Rosenborg Palace.
Tivoli is generally considered a must-see, because it's so iconic. While it's hard to compare to modern amusement parks, I think it's still worth a visit for its history and classic charm.
ETA - The Little Mermaid statue is as small and crowded as people say. Worth a peek if you happen to be in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

I agree that Tivoli is a must-see. The grounds are really cool, and some fun rides. There is an old roller coaster that is hand-braked, so a person rides on the car with you to brake. It was pretty fun and a neat, quirky thing.
We enjoyed a stroll through Christiania. Some really cool recycled, industrial art pieces, and some interesting people and activities there.
Walk past Nyhavn to take the iconic picture of the colorful buildings on the canal.
We climbed Rundetaarn. There were some cool, science-y exhibits inside and good views of the city from the top.

Get the Copenhagen card which includes public transportation and entrance to most attractions. I agree with pps that Tivoli, Round Tower, Rosenborg, and Nyhavn (with boat tour) are highlights. copenhagencard.com/attractions.
If you have a day with good weather, I'd take the train up to Helsingør to see Kronborg Castle (aka Hamlet's Castle).
Not as much help on places to stay since we stay with in laws but my parents have stayed at The Square several times and are happy with it.
