Man, I remember Munice. And the halfway point. And how utterly fucking pissed at where I was in my training and how I performed at Munice. I had just fired old coach and hired new coach. Who was basically like “Good luck.” At least we had PR beer.

- WHOAAAAAAA WE'RE HALFWAY THERE. Tell us what feels different this time around vs last time? What feels different from 100 days ago?
Um, everything? Seriously. Everything. I have a new new coach who, you know, is competent. Who believes in mini training cycles and not just throwing more and more volume at me. Who does benchmark testing and analyzes my data. And listens and explains things to me.
He just wrote a couple of days ago that he looked at my workouts and notes leading up to Lou, and said “I don’t want to bash anyone, but what you received was not coaching. That’s just sad.”
I also don’t have a coach who is telling me he doesn’t think I can finish this time.
So yeah. Everything is different. Including training in the snow instead of the summer heat.
- Do you like my body and you think I'm sexy? Yes, this was a question from the last halfway mark, lol. Tell me of your epic gains lately. I'm sitting here poking my biceps and quads like HELLO AGAIN KIND BEASTS.

I do not like my body. I don’t think I’ll ever like my body, honestly. No noticeable epic gains. No noticeable epic losses either, which is what I care about more.
- What do you hope to accomplish in the next 100 days of training?
To just keep building strong and smart. To hit that place in training where I change from “I’ll never be able to do this” to “I can totally do this.” To keep making gains. To stay uninjured.

Okay, can we record scratch the FUCK out of this here for one moment?
This amazing woman has CRUSHED her testing this week. I watched her swim a MADDENING sub-1:25 pace for her 1000yd time trial, AND THEN FOR HER NEXT TRICK lit her own FTP on the bike on freaking FIRE. And the day after that? Hit paces I have not seen her hit, EVER, for her run trial.
No epic gains my ASS.
I know we're fans of being modest and hard on ourselves here but holy shit this woman is going to leave me in the fucking DUST in Texas. And I can't wait to see it happen.
