We had karate on Saturday. I got to see RockNVoll briefly. And we made the mistake of going to market basket. Initially we didn’t think much of it because the parking lot is always full. So we did the usual sit and wait for a spot to open up. Then we got in and realized our mistake. There were no carts. Anywhere. Not in the store not in the parking lot. It was even more crowded than usual. And there was this line of carts going around the store. Yeah that was the checkout line. It circled the entire store. They had it well organized though. Things were moving. But trying to get anywhere in the store was quite the adventure. Sunday we didn’t go anywhere and I wore pajamas all day. Today Tony is here! We also got Lucas’s glasses fixed and have karate later.
Saturday I got out and about before the storm started; ran 8 miles, met a friend for brunch, and then DH, DS, and I went out to dinner. After that point I didn't leave the house until this morning lol. I worked from home yesterday (we all know my track record on icy sidewalks lol).

I'll take a run in 15* weather vs. 80* weather any day!
I just don't run ever, LOL!
And I'm sorry you didn't get yesterday off. I remember how painful it was not having any more holidays until Memorial Day. Though I think they at least give you a couple of floating days, right?
Yeah I think its so weird we don't get MLK Day off here! We do get Presidents' Day, so I have something before Memorial Day (if I make it that long! I'm due less than a week later). The thought of my 16 weeks paid maternity leave keeps me going lol. I'll probably take a day or 2 here and there before then, too.
Ha, my exercise this weekend consisted of kicking a ball to S down the hall
Saturday we started at urgent care because S said her ear hurt. No ear infection, yay. Took her to church (I sang, she complained that she didn't feel good) Sunday we shoveled in the early afternoon, then hunkered down. Then the baking started. We made marbled cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Like liveintheville, I stayed in my PJs all day Monday S and I had off, J had work. He chose to work from home since all the car doors were frozen shut. S and I cooked some more (breakfast cookies, homemade rolls, turkey chili) and played (Play Dough and the aforementioned kickball).
Now I have 9 days left at this job and they gave me a major project on a lame account. *sigh*

Wow, 16 weeks is great! And that President's day to Memorial day stretch without holidays is the worrrrssst. It's such a gut punch after at least a holiday a month (for us) from Sept. to February.
liveintheville, Market Basket at 10 am on a Tuesday is my own personal hell; I cannot imagine how bad it can be on a snowy weekend. I'm pretty sure I would have left the cart and starved, ha.
drloretta, I hope S is feeling better! All those baked goods had to have helped, though. Best of luck with your last few days there!
RockNVoll, the roads are terrible! They were still awful this morning when I drove in; hopefully, they did some more clean up today before the rain starts tomorrow.
We also did a whole lot of nothing over the weekend. We hit up the mall in the morning and met a potential babysitter for Ben in the afternoon. After that, it was a lot of kids shows, candyland, play doh and trucks in our house until we could leave again on Monday (to the grocery store, whut whut!). I did read an entire book in between, though, so that was something. Thanks, Kindle app!
