Hope your stims keep going well megstoo and that you get lots of mature eggs at retrieval!
Are you still plugging along with stims too, Jalapeñomel?
As for me, today is CD1 and I start estrogen tomorrow for a transfer tentatively Feb 12th! So close, yet so far away. I’m also doing some legwork currently to set up some consults in case we end up needing to do another retrieval. I’m not sure we will switch clinics but we have a ton of great clinics in my area and I think it’s worth seeing what those doctors have to say.
TTC #2 since October 2017, currently on first medicated cycle. (I got pregnant with my son on my second clomid cycle after TTC ~18 months). Today is CD13 and I went in for monitoring this morning. My follicles were on the small side, around 8.5-10 if I remember correctly. I have another monitoring u/s on Monday to see if I respond any more (I took clomid cd3-7).

Please do! Welcome to the board and good luck with your follicle growth!

I'm waiting for a call on our med price estimates from the pharmacy this week. Meds will be coming in the mail Friday. I set up my first acupunture appt today.
Other than that, that's all this week. Just continuing bcp for now. I have my baseline u/s next week and then my FET cycle officially begins.
Thank you. I am more bummed out than I thought I’d be wrt today’s appointment. I’m also annoyed with myself for TTC#2 for so long before going back to the RE. And while I know it shouldn’t bother me, my bff and I started TTC#2 at the same time, and she’s due to have her baby next month. I’m really struggling with it all.

We visit Disney World a lot (2-3x a month) and already had a staycation scheduled this weekend when I realized that I'm about to not be able to ride some of my favorites (and fingers crossed - maybe not for a long time!). So we hit a few of the parks just to ride my favorite jerky/roller coasters yesterday and today. Silly, I know, but fun
Results from my day 3 labs should have come back Friday and were sent to the insurance company so tomorrow after my morning meetings, I'm calling to find out status of coverage. I'm too impatient to wait on them to call me That was the last thing they needed before releasing the stim meds to be shipped and approving the retrieval/transfer! This week is just BCP and while I'm so anxious to get this thing going, we need the time to get the insurance processed, jump through whatever other hoops we've missed, and secure our financial portion.
moonriver - welcome, and sorry you're here. I wasted time not getting help, too, and know that personal annoyance all too well.

Funny you mention the roller coasters. The week before my BFP with my son, my H and I were on vacation and decided to ride the super jerky little coaster on the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Neither of us are actually roller coaster people so the whole thing was super random and we joked later that our kid rode his first coaster.
I have another monitoring appt tomorrow and that's when they'll decide what day they're actually doing retrieval. This whole IVF process has just been exhausting. I sort of want to ask the clinic for another z pac since I just came down with a cold. I was on one last week as part of their standard protocol but I ended up having the flu so everypill ended up coming back up. I had 4 days straight of puking. DH was sick part of last week and this weekend so I think whatever he had he passed to me.

Finally met with my RE after testing in November and December. My ovarian reserve isn't great, but she said that didn't necessarily mean that their quality was bad. Everything else was normal and she wasn't concerned about an AFC of 9. It was the best I could have hoped for. She still thinks IVF is the way to go to eliminate the possibility of genetic issues. I wish we had tested the previous MCs to confirm any issues, but I think we're going to start trying again. Maybe we'll think about IVF if nothing happens in the next 6 months. I've been doing 3 months of CoQ10, and 2 months of everything else. I hope that will improve things 🤞 I'm kind of excited. And terrified.
I had a monitoring appt yesterday and lining looks good. One hormone level was slightly low (estrogen?) so I am upping the Estrace (ugh) and go back for bloodwork again tomorrow. Hopefully everything will be good for a transfer date on the 30th.
I just called my OB to follow up on our testing. The sperm analysis is in, but she wanted to set up an apt. I told her the doctor stated they would call us so she is going to double check. I am now paranoid about what the results might say. Our blood work is still not back. Any idea how long chromosomal testing might take? It’s been 2 weeks so far.
Also, I am annoyed because last cycle when I was pregnant I had no sore boobs and I felt like something was wrong. This cycle my boobs are super sore. I highly doubt I am pregnant tho bc we only had sex 1x while I was potentially fertile and he pulled out. So basically I am losing my mind and wishing maybe I had tried this cycle because maybe my hormones are acting the way they should? Idk
We had a 3 day weekend and it was nice bc we got a ton done around the house. We are thinking about selling this spring too so we have to get a jump on that.

I just got back my day 3 labs - she said they are normal but they mean nothing to me (ha!). Other than noting them as normal, do certain number ranges predict potential success/failure/challenges with the IVF process? Or it is all just a crapshoot?

My numbers - I'm 40: FSH 7.0 E2 32.4 LH 14.2
Did they run AMH? That would be useful to know in terms of potential IVF response.
Otherwise your test results look great. FSH isn't elevated, which can be an issue in "older" women.

Yes! It's 4.2 - they ran that a few months back.
Thanks for your insight - I appreciate it!
That is a great AMH (in general and for your age) and AMH is a fairly good predictor of IVF response, at least whether you can grow a decent crop of eggs. I hope that bodes well for you as you move forward!

I had my baseline bw/us yesterday and all looked great. I’ll start stims on Friday and go back for my first monitoring on Monday. I’m feeling very optimistic and excited this time around. They’re starting me at higher doses than before and I didn’t use Lupron this time, so I’m really hoping for better results!!
