I am so foggy headed today, and caffeine is not clearing away the cobwebs.
I did an at-home sleep test night before last...I'm anxious to get the results back. I still haven't heard back about the last round of blood work I did, so I'm assuming there wasn't anything wrong. I'm actually hoping this sleep test shows something. I mean, it would suck to have to use a CPAP machine if I have sleep apnea, but I'm tired of constantly battling fatigue. And I'm tired of drinking so much caffeine...the jitters are starting to get to me.
What's up in your world today? Any fun plans this weekend?
My H uses a Cpap. He was so embarrassed at first but having a coherent, rested, happy mate is way better. I had a walking tired, crabby zombie before.
Today was good. This morning I went to 6am yoga and on my way to work stopped at this new local Mexican restaurant that opened in my neighborhood. I bought a breakfast burrito with popblano peppers, corn, mushroom and squash. It was spicy and really good and filling. I am still full so probably won't eat my lunch.
I'm ready for the weekend. I don't really have anything planned but I'm ready to relax at home.

I don't go here but wanted to chime in about sleep apnea. It took awhile to get out of the exhaustion but I can't sleep well without my CPAP machine. It is a life saving device.

I have a busy weekend and kind of wished I didn't. I have book club tonight. Tomorrow I have to take the pupster to the vet as I think she has a skin infection. We are hosting a dinner party later that night. Sunday we are supposed to do dinner with my family.
Whining for a minute--I started doing my taxes this week and I am getting butt f*cked over Trump's tax changes. My refund is pretty much cut in half from last year. Ugh.
On a positive note, I have a base salary and am eligible for a yearly bonus. Got a call from my boss this week that they are canning the bonus program. BUT, they increased my base pay to equal what I would get with the bonus. I'm happy about this as I'd rather have the guaranteed income vs. a lower base pay and a "probable" bonus. And, as a cherry on top, they paid out my 2018 bonus today in addition to my higher salary in my paycheck. Woot!
Brain Fog Friday is right. Remember me making fun of M's man cold a couple weekends ago? I've been patting myself on the back that I didn't get sick, but you can guess what I've been hit with today. Delightful. My weekend plans are thankfully limited to waiting for Costco to install new tires on my truck tomorrow morning. Looks like I'll be having a netflix and tea kind of weekend.
I know the new tax code/lack of itemization is going to ruin our taxes, too. Thankfully we have a fairly hefty rebate we're getting from the Tesla (nearly $9k between federal and state rebates), so hopefully that pulls us out of owing. I haven't yet been brave enough to start plugging numbers into tax software.
SwimDeep, I am in the middle of sleep testing right now too. I have to wear this medical bracelet, which is just a glorified fitbit, for 2 weeks and then I take my overnight sleep study. Just based on our first meeting, the DR was all giddy over all my crazy issues. Thanks doc.
It is suppose to be highs of 1 and 2 degrees with lows in the negative teens so I plan on hunkering down at home and doing some more painting and organizing.
I've just been ridiculously busy at work. Helping a teacher whose predecessor left a mess behind, trying to finish grades, etc.
I'm dancing 3 days a week now and tomorrow I'll finish week 1 of couch to 5k. I skipped this morning because yesterday evening I was just feeling so wiped out. Plus it's probably best not to do a training "run" (walk-jog) less than 12 hours after dancing for an hour and 45 minutes. This will mean 6 days in a row active, since the training days have been Monday, Wednesday, and will be Saturday, and dance is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. See? Both at work and outside of work I'm kind of ridiculously busy.
