I’m up and getting ready to head to a body pump class. I just joined the gym last week after years of just running outside, and I have no idea what to expect.
I’m up and tried to do 3 miles with a neighbor this morning. I wasn’t feeling it bc I slept like crap and his ankle was bugging him after he did a half last week. I told him he probably needs to roll his calves bc my friend who ran Houston last week had the same pain and was told she needs to do more rolling. I’ll probably do 30 on the ecliptical later after I finish my school work.

I’m up and heading to the gym in a bit to run a recovery run. 3? 4? Don’t know yet, whatever my legs feel like they can do after yesterdays frigid 12 miler. And then, I don’t know what. Whatever I can do to be out of the house for as long as possible since H woke up on the wrong side of the bed and has already picked 2 fights with me, ha!

I’m up and have 14 on the schedule. Deciding if I want to run at the Y track or brave the temps (-3 w some wind but sunny!) It wasn’t too bad yesterday. We’re suppose to get 8-12 inches of snow tomorrow so I’ll be inside most of the week.
Rest day for me which is good because I’m feeling pretty awful. Feverish and really weak. My sister thinks it might be the flu. I did get the shot. I’ve never had it before but definitely feel like I was hit by a truck. I have to drive home an hour and I’m not looking forward to it.
I just did about 4 stroller miles. I ran the first 1.5 with DD, so we went slow with breaks. Then after a break, I did another 2.5. It felt good but hard. I hadn't worked out since Tuesday due to lack of sleep and DS1 being home sick most of the week. I didn't really get sick but I was definitely fighting it off for a few days.
I had intended on spectating the race scm1011,and bostonmichelle, participated in. I changed my plans and went to the Patriots send off rally. Michelle, there are pics on the running clubs facebook if you haven't seen them. There is one of the two of you. I hope the race went well for both of you!
Now I am home and the weather is 45 degrees. I am trying to figure out if I want to sit on my ass or go out for a run.
melmel48 I have to deal with Superbowl crap here for the next 10 days! Traffic ugh!! I don't plan to be anywhere near downtown Atlanta til everyone leaves.

Getting hit by a truck is an accurate description of what getting the flu feels like. My son got it this year even though he got the shot, and he was feverish for 7 straight days, which sounds awful- but it would have been way worse without the shot. There’s a chance you may have it, but a less severe version because of the vaccine. Hope you’re feeling better soon!
