Less than 90 days? 12 weeks? Shut up with that noise. Really? Clearly, I am blissfully ignoring the calendar feature in Training Peaks. I'm trying to go one week at a time, and not think about the looming big picture. Yet.
Questions.
- Where were you with 90 days to go last time around? Where are you in comparison to volume, distance, etc this time?
I just looked back at TP for this point in training last time. For 12 weeks out last time, I was at 9800 swim, 7 hours of bike, 2 hours of run (LOLOLOLOL JFC really??).
This week's workouts will total 5500 swim, 4 hours on the bike (trainer) and 3:20 of running. So less, but you also have to factor in that at this point last time we were coming off Muncie and training for USAT Nationals...so that might be skewed. Plus, I was riding all outside, as opposed to set workouts and focused training on the trainer. Plus, our coach last time was an idiot. My week that week last time? 3 "EZ Basic" runs, all of my rides were "Go with the group" and the only real workouts he wrote in for me were swim workouts.
Considering how much better I currently am in the three disciplines, it's hard to compare this time to last. I'm ok with a slower build this time, because my current coach is actually training me this time.
- How are your twoadays going? Any threeadays in the forecast?
Twoadays are ok. They are mostly hard to juggle them around work. Last week I had to do my hill repeat workout during my office hours. Oh well. It's not like anyone came to office hours. No threeadays in sight.
- What kind of afterparty are we planning for the Woodlands?
Bourbon, bourbon, and more bourbon? And Texas BBQ. Alllllll of the BBQ.
